Many of you will remember the first picture I had of little baby
Caliban, flashing the camera. In case you don't, it's here:
http://pets.webshots.com/photo/1382780854058511339QYpDzj
Caliban loves to display his bum. He always keeps his tail proudly in
the air and sticks his bum up when he walks. He tries to stick it in my
face all the time. I have to tell him, 'I can see it's you. I don't need
to smell your backside to know it's you.'
But Caliban takes his bum very seriously. It is his caling card and his
fingerprint. He just proved that to me.
I have a fingerprint swiper on my laptop. Just now, as Caliban was
begging for his breakfast, he sat down on the fingerprint swiper. It
announced: 'Cannot verify your fingerprint. The image was scanned but it
has poor quality to be accepted.' and 'Swipe your finger slower. The
image was not accepted. Place the same finger on the fingerprint sensor
again.'
Calibban won't comply since he is now happily munching on his breakfast.

I remember that pic of Caliban when he was so little. What a little
cutie!
He's such a handsome, classic tabby, with his white paws.
I was at a cat show many years ago that included a 'household pet'
class. There was one very nice marmalade kitty, but none of the rest
were even in Caliban's class for classic kitty good looks.

Agreed, Caliban is a beautiful cat!

I think every cat show should include a 'household pet' class. There are
some real stunners - and of course all of ours are beautiful :)

What a hoot if it *had* recognised it.

I wouldn't want that to become the standard to replace fingerprinting! LOL

Make sure your monitor is set to its native resolution, probably 1680 by
1050, else the text will be a bugeer to read. You may need to download
updated graphics drivers.

Thanks Adrian
When I first got it I couldn't read text at 1680 by 1050 I had to set
it lower and resize the font but I suspect that's mostly down to the
fact that I'm not used to such a big screen but now I'm a bit more
used to it it's back to 1680 by 1050 and I just have to mess aroind
with the contrast but not right now- want to get completely
comfortable with it before I start changing the settings in case the
problem is me and not the setting

Hey Marina! I just went out and brought myself a 22" TFT monitor- it's
not even been installed 24 hours and it's already almost been
baptised!

Oops. Sorry. It did make me rofl, but I thought it was one of those
things you had to see.
(At first I thought 'baptised' as in a cat marked it, but now I see what
you mean. :) )

Haha!! That's cute. Maybe he's just doing his equivalent of sitting on
a copy machine to photocopy his butt?
