foot-in-mouth correction: her name is Rianna. No B.
She was safely trapped two nights ago. the Prophet Jeff called to confirm it
and she is safe. She will be returning to her original foster-mama with her
brother Squeak; Rianna, unfortunately, will have to be crated for a
sequestering period, now that she'd been out more than a week and had gotten
into a scrape of some sort. While a touch thinner, she has a small scratch
not in the eye but a little over the eye, and that could have come from
anywhere. the news came as a shock to the shelter president and the original
foster-mama; after a major storm system (which caused the damage to the
trailer that allowed the cat to escape) I think they'd given up on her being
alive and didn't quite believe it.
Thanks to the Mother of Perpetual Help and Saints Francis of Assisi, Gertrude,
Anthony and Jude Thaddeus for her safe return.
Blessed be,
Baha

This is Jeff, who went through the process. Needless to say,
my blood pressure went down ten points when I saw her in the
humane trap that I had set up to bring her back to safety.
The little one who bolted from the sight of me has, it seems,
turned into my fast friend. She spent almost an hour today
curled up on my chest as I sat in front of the computer,
unable to do anything but tend the mistress. She purred
and purred.
I can't describe how happy I am that The Baby is back. I've
witnessed far too many a tragedy not to know what it's like
for the Little Ones when they're without their tenders to
care for them. There will be no such tragedy tonight!

I will admit that sometimes I want to crack you one, but when all is said and
done you're a true friend to man and beast. I'd trust you with my babies'
lives, as I did with Rianna and Squeak. thanks for persevering.
Now, keep that #%@##%@* cabinet wired shut, will you, and let the Babies
enjoy themselves until we can find them a home!
Blessed be,
Baha
