My cats *always* used to hang themselves ON PURPOSE from our blinds like that. I think it's because they get the best of both worlds being able to see inside *and* outside. Well, after the blind blades bent and broke off and nothing raised or lowered anymore we invested a few $100's for new ones. We never close the blinds, now.
