Softest cat parts

I was wondering if people had any opinions on what part of their cat
is the softest?  To me, the cat parts that feel softest are the parts
where the fur is dense, flat, fine, and all facing in the same
direction.  On Betty, those parts are:

1. On top of her paws.
2. Between the ears.

and

3. The upper part of her throat, underneath her chin.

Those are among the best areas for smoochies!

Cleopatra: all over
Amelia: tummy and top of head
Tabitha: nose fur and ears
Sammy: tummy, top of head
Harri: tummy

Harri is the only one of the kitties that likes tummy rubs.

Piggybacking:  Dan, how is Harri getting along with your other cats (and
they with her)?  I love the mind-picture of a trucker walking a little cat
on a leash (or a little cat walking the trucker).

They've only had half a day together so far, but it went better than
expected. Harri did a lot of hissing and growling, but that's to be
expected since she's so tiny. I must say, after spending so much time
with baby Harri, my baby Sammy looks HUGE!

Cleo was the only one to hiss back at Harri, but nobody took any swipes
at anyone else. I should be getting back home this afternoon, and this
time I'll be staying for 3 days. So we'll do the for-real introduction
work over those next 3 days.

Persia's tummy, definitely.  It's very fluffy :)

Tummy.  And the backs of his hind legs, although those are the *only*
parts of him that are really off-limits.

Awwww, the furry pantaloons :-)  I love those!
Vino is generally soft all over.  He's got rabbit fur.  The fur on his
cheek pads is very thick and dense, so that's very soft.  Probably
from getting so much scritching there...stimulates the hair growth ;-)
He's also got the softest downiest tummy fur.  Really, the only part
that isn't super soft is this thin line of fur right down the middle
of his back.  That's his ridge and he can puff it up.  But the fur
there's just a tad coarser than the rest of him.

Sandpaper kisses, a cuddle and a purr. I have an alarm clock that's
covered in fur!

I have similar problems here.  If I kiss Betty too much on the throat,
she'll back off with a "mruff" sound, then headbonk me, as if to say,
"On TOP of the head, not underneath!"

On Emily and Sophie, it's their tummies - also the best areas for
smoochies.
On Martha, it's her furry butt. There, smoochies are definitely out!

If it's in an area where kisses are out, why do you even know that
it's her softest spot? :)

The tummy, hands down. And lucky for us, most of our cats do not mind
belly-rubs. :)

*ALL* of Weeble's fur is soft, but especially so all over his face & head.
Baby-soft, I call it!  Unfortunately, if given rubs for too long, she starts
to get squirmy & wrestly ;)

I still get absolutely amazed when I think about Weeble.  That you
raised him from a little black caterpillar. ;)

Looked more like a itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny bear cub back then ;)

Now, all cat, no cub!

I also think that Weeble looked like a caterpillar.  It was his flat
ears and fuzzy fur. :)

And squirminess.  Actually,  he looked to me like some black substance
that had been squeezed out of a tube. ;)

Ummmmmm  that was the stuff that came out of his back end LOL

I remember the first time he pooped, I'd had im for about 2 - 3 days before
he finally did, and when he did, boy did he ever!  And he screamed his fuzzy
caterpillar-head off when he did it, too.   He did it in three statges,
stage one was pretty firm, kinda like a tootsie roll (but smaller, a bit
softer, and a whole lot stinkier), stage too came out like peanut butter
(didn't semll like it though), stage three was all that he had left, and it
was really stinky and smooshy, and he didn't like me messing around back
there, so he kept trying to hide 'it' with his tail, hence got all that
stinky goosh in his tail.  Poor little bugger worked so hard on that, he
fell right to sleep afterward!

I like the adjective, "wrestly"!

On Felix, it's definitely his tummy. :-)

For both Eros and Oscar, the softest part is an area just behind/below the
ears.  On Eros there was a noticable difference in the quality of the fur.
Oscar is pretty much soft all over, although the top of her head is incredibly
soft.

Nina is a little powder puff all over. But her softest fur is on the top of
her head, where the light and dark fur makes  a lovely, very complicated
diamond pattern, under her chin, and down her white shirt front.

Cesca is sofest around her head and neck and over her shirtfront.  She also
has a very silky soft coat down her back. It's impossible to resist stroking
her.

Pan still loves his ear scritches and chin rubs, and  he'll flop over and
let me give him a tummy rub now and then, too. His coat is not what it used
to be, though, although he's  still pretty glossy for an old fellow.

The late beloved Isadora had a wonderful plushy thick coat, and it was a
pleasure to stroke her almost anywhere. She was not fond of having her paws
handled though.

Nocturne:  Right between the eyes, reaching up to the ears.

(Touching her belly causes EXTREME BLEEDING--she looks soft, but after
various surgeries, belly-touches get you BIT and CLAWED.)

Smokey:  Belly, cheeks.

Tyche:  Kinda wiry-furred all over, but has a nice soft throat.

Kumani:  Cheeks, throat.

I agree with two of those :)
On both Gossamer and Jeeves:
1. the backs of the ears
2. the tops of the paws
3. the curve of the throat (Gossamer has her only pure white spot just below
there - it often looks like a little heart)
