First, thank you for all your prayers and good thoughts for Cara. The
vet was unable to see anything by just looking. Cara was unable to
have the endoscopy today as it was broken and they need to replace
it.... the good news is that *tomorrow* the vets are having a brand
new state of the art new one delivered with a "grabby bit", and they
needed a patient to knock out and to practice on, so I've agreed to
let them use Cara so they can sort her out, probably without the need
for major surgery! :o)
As Cara was also was due to have her hips X-rayed next Tuesday because
of suspected Hip Dysplasia and osteoarthritis, they're going to do it
all at once, so my little girl will be poked and proded and X-rayed
to within an inch of her life! I went up and saw her this evening and
took her out for a quick walk and she seems bright, happy and
cheerful, although coughing like mad.
The vets have spoken to Pet Plan, and Pet Plan have agreed to pay them
direct, thank Bast...
The only problem is, Miss Lily Whiskers is looking *everywhere* for
Cara. They're good friends, and she's missing her K9 buddy.
So, I will update you all more tomorrow when I collect my mutt, but
thank you all for the hugs and good wishes, you have no idea how much
they have helped. I haven't been able to think straight all day, which
is not good when you are trying to teach 30 hellion, devil spawn year
8's about the Rock Cycle during last lesson! Also, many of the people
at school don't understand how much I adore my dog and how worried I
am..... "it's just a dog and you can get a new one if that one
dies" ...apparently.... So being able to be worried to people who
really understand has helped so much!
So, a further update tomorrow.
On a different note, them purrs are *very* powerful things! A personal
situation regarding finances that I've been stressed beyond belief
about over the last 2 weeks, was finally resolved in a positive
outcome this afternoon!!
*Thank you*

Helen,
We shall continue to send purrs for Cara and my Sam will send out
special purrs tomorrow as he goes for an x-ray to make sure he's still
cancer free.

Awwww. Purrs for Cara, and her worried Mama - but also purrs for Miss Lily
Whiskers that she doesn't worry too much.

My boss said something similar when Shmogg died. "What do you need a cat
for? Can't you just get an other one?"
Thankfully, my boss is not a heartless sod, he just has Asperger's (like
most of the people I work with, it seems to go with engineers and
scientists) and needed me to explain what purpose a pet would serve and why
I was upset about one dying. Once I had explained it, he understood that I
was upset for a reason. And thats all he needed.

Purrs continuing for Cara and for Miss LilyWhiskers hunting for her friend.
I suggest telling those who say that dogs are disposable that they look up
the word re-cycle in the dictionary then apply it to their
children/parents/other family members.
