My alarm is set to go off at 7pm.

Courtney has decided this isn't good enough.  So she goes off at 6.30.

So far, she's tried three different strategies:

- nibble the end of my nose
- nuzzle me in the eyeballs
- comb my moustache with her teeth

They are all a *lot* more effective than an electronic bleep.

At least Ranger waits until 20 minutes before the alarm goes off to stick
his cold, wet nose on my face.

I'm trying to think of what it would feel like to have a cat's nose in
my eyeball when I'm half asleep, and how that might affect the dreams I'm
having.

Smudge claws at my arm when she wants me to get up. Licky sits on the
floor beside the bed and meows loudly. But Roxy gets on top of me and
rubs her head all over my face, purring and kneading whatever part of
my body she's on, and is just generally a cuddly sweetheart. Smudge and
Licky will end up ejected from the room for their efforts, but Roxy gets
a cuddle in return. It's a very pleasant way to wake up, so I try to
reward her by feeding her quickly.

Molly will pat my eyelids with a paw.  Very unnerving if you are sound
asleep.
