After peeing on the counter twice, Bucky wanted back into the carrier.
We waited awhile for the doctor to arrive. In the meantime, one of the
techs came in and told him what a beautiful boy he is. Bucky stuck his
head out and allowed her to give him skritches. I even heard a purr.
When the doctor came in, we took the top off the carrier - Bucky was
NOT coming out through the door. He must have completely voided his
bladder, as he didn't pee on the counter this tim. That, or the pretty
vet tech had softened him up (grin).
The vet didn't seem overly concerned about the broken claw, but gave
him a shot to take down the swelling, and an antibiotic shot. I got a
bottle of liquid antibiotic for twice a day doses. I've never
medicated Bucky, so this will be new. He's very good with me holding
him, so I don't expect a LOT of trouble (famous last words?).
No other apparent injuries, although one ear is a bit ragged from
previous fights.
Buck is lying on the floor in the bathroom, and is actually flexing
the sore paw, so he must be feeling a little better. He has also
forgiven me, although he didn't get upset with me at any point that I
can think of... (heh! YET - I still have to dose him...).
He is following me around when I get up, and trying to stay close to
me. He meows at me when I tell him what a brave kitten (2 years old -
he may be telling me "I'm NOT a kitten!") he is.
At one point, he came out of the bathroom. Little Feet and Dulce Mae
were in the hallway, watching him. He stopped in front of each one and
presented his forehead to be sniffed and/or licked. Dulce Mae threw a
swat in his direction, but it didn't connect.
He's still limping a little, and holds his paw up when he sits, but
other than that, he appears to be getting back to normal.
Hugs and Purrs,

That's great news. We'll keep purring that he continues to improve.

I'm glad its nothing too serious. Healing and dosing purrs on their
way Southwest. Beware of bastard cat tricks.
