so I talked about the outside cats the other night... so tonight I am
talking on the phone to Gramby... we are discussing such sensitive matters
as why a person whom we work with is such a cow... figuratively and
literally... as well as the relative merits of things like eating ribs and
going to an adult store with friends... and I step the back door to grab a
cigarette... I hear a series of chirps, MMRPS and noises that usually only
coming from  Chester the ingester, Gramby says, what is he on about I say,
its NOT Chester its an outside cat... Then I opened the door a crack for her
to hear... I hadn't gotten the door open, I crouched down with Chester right
behind me, returning the conversation... having stuck my hand a bit out the
door I expected the cat to leave, NNNOOO I got a headbump!!! so... I stood
up, got a kitty jail, stepped into the laundry room, closed the door, opened
the kitty jail, stood there to make sure none of my cats followed me into
the laundry room, then I went through the garage to the patio, no cat, so I
return inside, close the kitty jail, open the door, return the kitty jail
and figure it wasn't serious... then DH comes in the front, I tell him, he
goes out and collects the cat,

AND THAT ISN'T THE WORST!!!

it is a long hair that has more knots and mats than I could count most of
which are as big or bigger than a quarter...

I WANT YOU ALL TO KNOW THAT IN GENERAL I HATE PEOPLE!!!

its obvious from the demeanor this was someone's pet,

everyone, have a nice friggin night

There are days, aren't there sometimes.  Every time I look at Meow Meow, who
is doing  his best not to go feral, or Double Pumpkin, who is feral, I hate
people.  I don't understand why someone would move away and not take such
sweetie as Miss Calico Girl, or would threaten to toss Tanada into a busy
street.  MIL and FIL had a neighbor who moved and left TJ.  TJ was a
sweetie, but totally refused to come into the house, even when invited.
Like your rescue, TJ was a long haired kitty who was always fighting the
mats.  The in-laws took him to heart and had memorable adventures at the
paws of TJ.  But they never forgot where he came from or forgave the people
who dumped  him.  I can't blame them.

it used to be the woman who cuts my grass who was the cat lady, but I think
her husband has put a stop to it, now they just know to come here, I feel
like I could happily go to jail for a few days if I could just do a decent
amount of bruising to the shards of crap that do this, Lee

You're sounding a lot like me! Whenever I hear about a dumped kitty, or
when I think about someone dumping a sweet little innocent kitten like
Samuel, or giving away Tabitha or Ranger, it positively makes my blood
boil.

Nancy knows not to talk about animals being mistreated when we're out in
public, as she gets embarrassed when people here me rant.

First, let us clarify a couple of points.  The "adult" store was a clothing
store that had things in it I wouldn't wear at home by myself, let alone in
front of someone else.  If you have a friend who is blind and you are warped
like my friends, imagine saying something like "here look at this" handing
them something and watching their face as they realize what they are
standing in public holding.

Now back to the cat who just miraculously came into the house. Everything
Lee said was true except for the "here kitty kitty" parts that weren't
mentioned.  Also the "he is going to kill me if I bring another cat into
this house."  Said with no fear but it sounded funny anyway.

When Lee touched this cat, I could feel her hate of the somewhere in the
past owners as she ran her hand over the matts in its hair.  Almost dropped
the phone from the heat.

Before we have a long discussion about calling a co worker a cow, she is.
Even in behavior.  Talks about a diet as she sits with a box co chocolates,
a 2 liter bottle of soda and has to excuse herself to collect a pizza when
the doorbell rings.  She can't be insulted or helped, have tried both.

So, whets the new cats name?

I only called it after it gave my hand the rub... and it figures just when I
think DH will go ballistic he is the one that just steps out picks it up and
returns... man you should have seen the fit Stormmee threw...  a strange cat
was getting HER furry's attention, anyway, it doesn't have name yet but we
will ask in the morning,

She is right about the fit stormme threw.  I thought it was the cat they
brought in out of the rain.  It was Stormmee because Furry was paying
attention to another cat.  I mean talk and sputter like you have never
heard.

best part of that fit is that he has never seen her do it before, always
told me I was being too dramatic, Lee
