Ok, everyone send me their best scores - mentioning whether you finished the
game or not, and I'll put the scores up on my Angelfire site (where the FAQ
is).

The "Not finished" will be sorted by highest score, the "finished" will be
lowest score first.

I wish you'd said this before.  I've almost decided to stop playing (or I
think I have.)  Highest score IIRC 117 thousand something, not finished.  I
didn't notice what my finished score was.

For Victor's sake we'll also have a column for *highest* score when
finished.

My lowest score to finish the game was 90914.  Highest I ever got was
140 thousand something.

Ohhh, I got even lower just now.  71790, yay!  I don't understand
these really low scores people can get.  My points add up so fast when
I'm only down to a few colours.

Does that mean you had 13,750 points when you cleared all the bubbles?
That's amazing. Last night I was trying to get a low score and finishing
the game, the lowest I managed to get was over 40k.

Yes - I was amazed too :-) I think I was just really, really lucky in
the colours that came up. The only other time I've finished the game was
with a final score of around 47,000.

Are you talking about the game called Poppit? The one where you try to burst
all the balloons?

Ok, not high score, but I finally won it. Now maybe I can quit.  lol
73650 was my score when I won.  In fact, that's the highest I've
gotten period.

Hello Seanette!

Yes, I confess to not having posted very much recently... mostly due
to the intractable nature of real life. I never go a day without
reading the group though! I've been setting up a new business, finding
staff, choosing and painting offices... it's all been frantic! I
wouldn't dream of complaining about how much work we have right now -
but I'm just hoping that in 2005 I might get my life back :)

My new office is in the Sheung Wan area of Hong Kong, which is very
Chinese and "local". The district contains lots of small dried food
shops selling all sorts of fish, mushroom and herbal products. The
shop next to my office has a sign in the window that say, simply, "We
buy GALLSTONES". Alrighty. Next time a client ejects one during a
meeting I shall know where to take it.

Many of the dried fish shops have resident cats, collared and usually
dozing under the owner's chair. Nearly all Chinese businesses have
their Good Luck Cat by the door - a plastic gold-coloured cat sitting
with one paw in the air, which is supposed to attract money. Having a
real cat is, apparently, much better but usually impossible in these
days of restrictive leases.

Obviously the Sheung Wan cats are onto something. Most Hong Kong cats
are rangy, streetwise beings; however, the local shop cats all look
very well fed and lazy. I'll take the digital camera for a stroll some
lunchtime and show y'all what I'm talking about.

Al.
- Back to work... after just *one* game of Bubbels...

LOL!! What a great response to that. I wonder if they are an aphrodisiac or
if they help arthritis? :)

Can't wait for the pics. If you can just drag yourself away from Bubbels
long enough. ;o)
