Driving to work today, I saw a truck on the road with a cute logo. It
was a shipping company, and the logo was a picture of a mother cat
carrying a kitten in its mouth.

At least at some point, a Finnish shipping company called Viktor Ek used
that logo on their trucks. Their website shows a different logo on their
trucks now, but this link may take you directly to it:

or www.viktorek.fi - English - Moving Services - Moving Cases or Office
Moves, and you see the logo on the blue cases/boxes, tho not very
clearly. They seem to have a tuxedo kitty on a few other pics too (at
least Moving Services/ household moves and moving instructions), so
they're a cat friendly company... :)

Oh, that's good, too!
This was a Japanese firm. In fact, since I remembered the name, I
Googled it so I could find the logo online. And apparently the
company is so well-known that there's a Wikipedia entry for them:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamato_Transport
A closer look at the logo:

Any Japanese speakers here? Does "Kuroneko" mean mother cat? (I know
that "neko" is cat...)

Yes, kuro means "black". I really like the Victor Ek tuxedo logo too
though. Look at these:

It must be a culturally universal thing to associate transportation
with momcats.

Pretty site! (Not just the Victor logo, but the whole site is nicely
designed.)

That's pretty much what momcats do. :)

It's one of the largest shipping companies in Japan, based on all the
logos we saw over there.
