A couple of weeks ago, I got a special mini-humidifier. I keep it by my bed
at night, but it's small enough so I can move it around the house with me.
Stinky loves it. Whereever it goes-- especially by the bed-- Stinky plants
himself right in front of it, and mists himself. His coat is all nice and
shiny, now, doesn't have that slightly dry mid-winter look. ;) So one of us
is getting some good out of this. ;)

Also, one thing I always hated about winter on the east coast was that
every time I touched a cat, we'd both get a static electricity shock. And
of course, the cat would start to think I was doing it on purpose, since
everything unpleasant is my fault. I'll bet the humidifier helps with that!

lol. just like caliban and the fan in summer. i have it running on my
bedside table at night, and caliban positions himself between the fan
and my face, so that all his loose hairs come blowing right into my
nose. 'choo.
