My apologies to friends that have sent me cards this Xmas - DH and I have
had a few health problems. DH had a cataract op with another pending and I
had a slight stroke. I hasten to add my stroke is a mild one and only
affects my speech. It did affect my typing though, I had no idea there
were so many wrong keys on a typewriter. I normally type as fast as I
speak. Twenty mistakes in one line!!! The doctor tells me I will make a
full recovery and the typing is heaps better. Also I no longer sound drunk
so it means the speech has improved too.
I suppose it could have been a lot worse, at least that is what I keep
telling myself. But the feeling that you are mortal is an unpleasant one
:(
The cats are all fine.

Bev, sorry to hear about your and DH's health problems, but I'm glad that
yours was minor and that you are recovering. That's a scary one! Your typing
looks perfect above, which means either you're getting better or you're
doing a lot of editing. :) (Or someone is taking dictation for you!)
Hey, as long as you can continue to play Bubbels, right? :)
Purrs for you to make a complete recovery soon!

Joyce, I am doing the typing and I am almost up to speed again. I seem to
have misplaced Bubbels, perhaps someone will send me a good site for it,
I've done a Google but can't find the site I used to like.

Purrs headed south. I just explained to Molly that while you have lots of
cats, you still need extra purrs.
A stroke, even a very minor one would scare the wits out of me. It isn't
nice to gets reminders like that. I much preferred being young and
believing I'd live forever. Or at least believing that a lifetime was a
very long time.
Still, its good to hear from you and to know you are OK if not really great.

I'm sorry to hear you had a stroke and it is causing difficulties. I'm sure
that must be very frustrating! I'm glad the prognosis is so good, though.
Best wishes to your DH on the cataract surgery. I've had it in both eyes,
and am very happy with the result. It is also a relatively simple
operation. My mother, who had many different types of surgery, said it was
the pleasantest and easiest to recover from of any surgery she'd ever had.

I loved the photos you sent and had every intention of posting you off some
of Fluff and B and C. Pass on our best wishes to Mum and Dad we will
never forget the lovely time we had with you all.
We had intended on doing a cruise around the Greek Islands but that is off
for the moment.
Will send the photos when I feel more like myself in a few weeks.

It could have much, much worse. Hang in there, Bev, it does get better.
Nancy's dad had a stroke last year. It affected his ability to walk, to
talk, and to swallow. He spent a few months in a rehab hospital, but he is
now back home. He speaks just as well as he did before the stroke, gets
around about as well, and the difficulty swallowing is gone. He's
testimony to how well functioning can return following a stroke.

Hugs and Purrs for both You and John, Bev. We've been wondering if
you were ok. 20 mistakes in one line sounds about right. I'm
dyslexic and there are days when I feel as though all I do is make
mistakes. Thank Bast for Spell check. Please give our regards to the
owners, John, and Ted.

Thanks Pam, I often think of you and always read your posts. Ted is here
at the moment putting down some tiling in the garden. He is, of course,
smothered in cats, lol.
Thanks also to the members of the group for their best wishes and purrs. I
should be back to normal in a few weeks

Haven't even had mine yet, and Joel's one needs to talk to me before
anything definitave is said.
Sorry if I'm sounding brusque - I had a lousy night's sleep and woke up to
Cary landing on my head. I'm not in the best of moods.

Not taking it personally! I would be like that if not worse if these
things happened to me. Purrs for a better night's sleep, not to mention
a good outcome with Joel's tests!
