I went to Petco tonight.  My furballs are so bored with themselves with
spirit passing away.  He was Ka'shay best friend and playmate. Him and
Phantom used to play with one another and Rumble used to get in the tussle
to show them how is boss.

Well I bought some of those feather teaser they are in love with them.  They
had liquid catnip on sale from 5.99 to 1.99.  I have never used this stuff
before always gave my cats fresh valerian. Well I sprayed it on their toys
did I ever make a mistake.  I have multiple stoned furballs who can't get
enough of the toys they haven't played with for months.  HELP

My friend, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.  If you smile, it will be

Kind of like being sober at a party where everyone else is drunk isn't it?

Oh, and be careful.  Stoned cats often draw blood if you try to play with
them,

LOL.

LOL!

I'll have to try that stuff- it'll be interesting to see what happens
given that Dunzi doesn't really do toys but does DaNip and Sarsi loves
her toys but doesn't do DaNip

Probably need to wear full plate mail before I try it!

Never mind a nap sounds like prolonged hibernation and making sure
there is a pot of very strong Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee AKA rocket
fuel on the go before you start

LOL, Pipps kept me up all night the other night, wanting to play fetch at 4
am.
Silly little Missy!!!

>Never mind a nap sounds like prolonged hibernation

I usually take a cat nap around 5 pm for a couple of hours, to let my meds
kick in.

Ahhhhhh, a coffee drinker..we use a really dark French Roast, both for my
homemade lattes and DH's coffee.

Actually not at all. Coffee is something Dave makes me in the mornings
on the weekends and then it's instant. I try to avoid it  as it makes
me feel queasy if I have more than two cups

A few years ago I was much more into it. I used to work in a place
where we had a coffee maker and the cleaner was under very strict
instructions to put the coffee on at 8.45 so when we came in the whole
place smelt of proper coffee in those days I used to drink several
cups a day but as I say since I've got older I've found too much
coffee makes me queasy. Funny thing is neither tea nor cola have the
same effect (another eccentricity is at weekends I cannot stand cola
but in the week I sometimes just have to have one to stop me falling
asleep at work!)

Why not have Dave make you tea in the morning, then?

I find that tea does as good a job of waking me up as coffee used to.
I can no longer tolerate regular caffeinated coffee - it gives me the
jitters, and if I drink too much of it, anxiety. I can drink decaf
coffee, and I will sometimes as an after-dinner refreshment. But for
the serious job of jump-starting me in the morning, it requires English
Breakfast or Darjeeling tea, and a lot of it. (In fact I'm enjoying a
pot of the latter right now.) For some reason, caffeine tea doesn't
cause me anxiety, so I can drink loads of it.

Maybe that should be your regular morning drink?

He hates tea and always makes it either so weak it's just milk and hot
water or so strong you have to throw the cup away afterwards because
you can't get the tanin off! Anyway during the normal week, I get up
and go to work before he gets up so i throw him some coffee and head
for the office- where my first action is to grab a tea bag from the
filing cabinet

Maybe so, but it's coffee for me in the morning and at night I drink
chammomille to help me sleep.

i used to drink 3-4 big mugs of coffee in the morning before going to
work, and 3 or 4 more cups at work. no wonder i used to have trouble
sleeping. now i drink 1 or 2 cups a year.

now i'm addicted to tea instead. i brew a big pot of russian-type black
tea every morning. the good thing with russian-type tea is that it
doesn't get a bitter taste, however long you steep it in the pot. they
brew it in samovars, where the tea is kept for hours and hot water added
every now and then. i don't have a samovar, and i wouldn't know how to
use one, anyway, but i have it in a normal tea pot and when it gets too
strong to drink as is, just add some hot water to each new cuppa.

The Turkish alternative to a samovar is to use a small teapot with
the tea, sitting on top of a larger teapot which has the water
simmering.  You can buy pairs of nesting teapots for this in Turkey
(or in shops abroad that do Turkish food) but any two pots of
differing sizes that fit together without the top one falling over
will do.

I like tea done this way but you have to decide in advance that
you're going to be doing several hours of tea drinking at home,
and I'm not often in that position.

Hmmmmm I usually have a double shot flavored latte made by DH for me.
Ahhh, the aroma of coffee is wunnerful.
He's the only one who knows how to make it JUST like I like it.  He made me
a Pecan flavored latte this morning.
Then I had a couple of sips off his coffee.  He just uses milk in his
coffee.
Now he's brewing a pot of fresh Ginger tea, with honey.
Good for an upset tummy and I DO love ginger.
Just had a sip, and it is really good:)

The only 'cola' we drink any more is Canada Dry Ginger Ale.
We used to drink Coke.
Pepsi Cola iz nasty IMO.
A matter of taste I suppose.

Doesn''t valerian stink??  I used to take valerian for depression, the
powdered kind, and a long long time ago,(1981) I bought some, and was
putting some into the gel-caps..there was just a small dusting left in the
bowl I was using for the powder, had to leave the room, and when I got back,
all 4 of my now RB Cats were so stoned...boy that stuff smells nasty, but
the Cats were really stoned on it :)

Well I sprayed it on their toys

I have some of that here.  I am VERY careful not to get it on the wrong
item.  I sprayed the poles early on but made sure it did not hit the rug on
the floor.
