It was hard to get up this morning.  I had to stop myself from calling out
his name looking for him .  I got several errands to run including going
back to the vet and paying for everything.  I have to go get some gravel to
put on top of spirits grave  to mark it and prevent any others from digging
him up.

Me and Mom stayed up last night talking and crying getting it out so we
could cry our eyes out.  I started again when I saw the post responses this
morning.  After all these years I still can't believe how much they get into
your hearts.  I feel as if I lost a child and I know I have.  I know I got a
long road ahead  one foot in front of another

I love you all so much  thank you for your kind words.  They are helping. I
never thought it would be spirit to go before the other older cats.  He
fought from the beginning of his life to the very end.  I will never forget
my little warrior.  DADDY LOVES YOU SO MUCH SPIRIT.

THANK YOU ALL AGAIN

I am so sorry Matthew, I haven't been into the group for a few days.   Tears
came into my eyes as I read your post.   How precious Spirit was to you.

Matt just got online here....I am so very sorry for you and yours for
your loss
of your furbaby. My original Hopitus (the real one, orange
"rumpy" (Manx people
know what that means) Manx, after a third bout or pancreatitis, was in
such
respiratory distress that my friend and I held him *upright* position
- like sitting -
on our way to TED as he was gasping so bad...vet told us he was
suffering from
a diabetic complication so I was forced to have him get the merciful
needle to
end his pain and panic. You know you gave Spirit a wonderful life with
you
and there is nothing better we can do for those we love, right?  I am
crying
as I posted before I don't do death well at all even after 30 years
working in
hoomin Class 1 (heavy duty trauma) ERs. You ended his suffering...the
last
loving gift. My Hopitus has greeted Spirit at the Bridge as he is
waiting for
me there along with a whole bunch of cats I loved and will keep him
company
till you get there. You may make a memorial to him on this website:
Petloss.com
if you want.

Oh Matthew...I've been off-line for several days and just now found out.
I'm so very sorry.  Purrs and hugs for everyone left behind and
remember, Spirit knows how much his daddy loves him....
