Last year was not a good year for my cats and I.   I lost  Katie to
pneumonia,  then Ceridwen, Gabriel and Bobby to acute kidney failure.
Now I am going to lose my Amanda Lynn, also to acute kidney failure.
She spent the day at the vets, getting IV fluids, and is now sitting
on the top of a small cat tower. She insisted on getting up there, and
anything she wants she will get.  The vet said to keep her warm, but
she doesn't want to sit on the heating pad or in her kitty cup. She
has been walking around, crying a very sad meow/yodel - she is part
siamese. She will be going to bed with us tonight, and I hope I can
keep her on the bed. She goes back to the vets in the morning, alive
or dead. The vet wants to get tissue samples after she dies, so we can
figure out what the fr*g is killing my cats! My vet contacted Cornell
University, and the vets there think it may be V-CV, or virulent
calicivirus. They will need the tissue to confirm it.  I am hoping
that she gets through this crisis, and surprises us by getting well.
Only Bast knows for sure what will happen.

Thank you all for the purrs you have given for my crew, and any that
you give in the future. I always appreciate them, even if I don't say
so. Sometimes it is hard to put down what I am thinking. It makes
things too real, if you know what I mean.

Amanda just started crying again. I just wish I could fix her somehow.
