Just wanted to show you the latest Sammy pics (RE: speaking in another post
about how big she is).  Keep in mind that this is a king-sized be and those
are king-sized pillows Sammy and Bandit are laying on.  Bandit is a very
large cat (10 pounds), and Sammy, at 7 months of age and *TWELVE POUNDS*, is
starting to dwarf her.  Bandit is on the right, Sammy is on the left.

I'm starting to wonder if I should enter her into the circus as one of the
big cats!!

Hugs,

I think Sammy got more than her fair share of either Maine Coon, or
Norwegian Forest cat genes. She does not look like a 7 month old kitten!

What a cute pair!  Is Sammy part Maine Coon or something?

Sammy is what we used to call a Heinz Variety - what they call a moggie in
the UK and a Domestic Long Hair (DHL) here in the states.  But I think she
definitely has some Maine Coon in her - besides being big she has a lot of
their classic features (huge paws with lots of fluff sticking out like big
snow shoes; a looooooong very fluffy tail - longer than she is and about 6
inches thick when bushed out - the better to wrap around herself to protect
from the cold; very fluffy ears - again to help keep out the cold; and a
very, very thick coat with a thick undercoat that's very water resistant -
water just beads up and rolls off - and she like playing in water).

Lovely lady. They both are.

Yup, you've described all the MC characteristics to a "T" (or in this
case an "MC".
My Pericles, a purebred Red Taby MC is curled up next to me displaying
those same features right now (aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh).

Purrs for Samy to have a long & happy life with you.

My goodness. She's huge. Doesn't look like a kitten at all any more. But
they are both beautiful.

10 pounds isn't very large.  Maybe big for a girl.
Sammy, OTOH is almost as big as Stinky!

They are gorgeous.

Well, Jessie weighs about 6 1/2 pounds and Demi weighs 7 pounds, so Bandit
seems big to me.  All my owners until now have been very petite I guess.
Sammy, however, is going to be a giantess!!!  ;>
