Dad had the procedure Monday, his bile duct was totally blocked. They
unblocked it. It took him until 3am for the anestizia (I know baaad
spelling). Tuesday the removed his Gall Bladder using laproscopsy
(sp?). The Dr said things went very well. Thanks so much for all your
purrs.

Hope his recovery goes smoothly. I'm betting he is going to feel a whole
lot better.
In my experience, gall bladder disease is greatly under diagnosed and can
lead to some life threatening problems.
Purrs ongoing.

The worst is now over. He should recover fairly quickly. It's quite
possible that by now he feels better than he did before the surgery, and
things will just keep getting better. I was 66 when I had my gall bladder
removed laparoscopically, and had very little pain afterward. It did take
about a month to get my strength back, though.

My dad has his gall bladder removed when he was 63. The worse problem
he had was that he was bored at hospital and they wanted to keep him
in. In the end, he lied his head off to get home early even through he
was in pain with it because he wanted to get back to his own bed
