We have an end table on one side of the couch. The arm of the couch
rises about six inches above the table top.
Today, Dulce Mae was on the end table and being a silly girl. Or I was
being a silly boy. Or something...
I ducked my head down out of sight of dulce Mae, who was hunkered down
on the table. Then I would pop my head up, poke her lightly on the
head and say 'poke the kitty'. Then I would duck back down.
Quickly getting in the swing of this new game, Dulce Mae popped her
head over the arm of the couch and poked me on the nose (fortunately,
she kept her claws in) and meowed at me. She ducked down, but kept
watching the top of the couch, her tail twitching with interest.
I popped my head up, and reached out to poke her, but she caught my
finger in her paws, then licked my finger. Okay, a new rule - we're
allowed to capture the other player.
We played this game for a good fifteen minutes before Dulce Mae got
tired of it and jumped over the couch arm to sit and purr in my lap.
What a funny girl!
Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

My boys play a slightly more vigorous version of this game, which seems to
lunging, hell-for-leather, right at me. ;) I've described it before- here's
one game:

Of course there is this newsgroup on the feline internet where Dulce
Mae posts and all the readers are rolling in the aisles and saying "What
a funny man".

I learned the hard way not to boop the Huey. The last time I booped
him, I found myself looking down at my hand which was in his mouth.
Fortunately Huey was kind and didn't break the skin.
