I bought a cat bag for Felix.  Some of you know he's my tuxedo cat that is
going deaf.  I had to get the bag b/c I'm having an awful time when he needs
drops in his ears, and he's never been too good when it's time for a
pedicure.

I'd like to hear positives and negatives regarding the bag from folks that
have used one, or is still currently using one.

TIA!!

My cats, when I got them had mites and wouldn't let me put drops in their
ears,  I just wrapped them in a towel.  Is this cat bag something that only
allows the head to be out?  Think I saw one once.

One of my cats has chronic renal failure and must have sub-cutaneous
fluids administered every other day. Cindy dislikes being held at the
best of times but she was _really_ upset when being held involved
getting stuck with a big needle, too!  I was getting desperate and got
one of those zip-up bags to see if it would help.

I only had to use it once!  After getting her all tussled up in that
straitjacket once, Cindy seems to have decided that she'll behave for
her meds rather than going through that again.  It wasn't that easy to
get her in there in the first place and, although she was calm while
being restrained, it really did seem to hurt her feelings being
treated like that.

I'm so sorry about the CRF.  My boy died from this last month.  I was
too late in discovering how sick he was and it was way too late to
start home injections of fluids.  I hope you have a long long long
time with Cindy left. {{HUGS}}

Instead of subjecting your cat to ear drops, ask your vet for
revolution.  One application (between the shoulders) should kill the ear
mites as well as any fleas or ticks.

Ummm, the ear drops are for the tumors in his ears.  He's going deaf because
of this.  The drops help prolong the inevitable.

All 4 of my furkids are indoor only cats.  I haven't seen an earmite since
Oscar was a baby.  Eight years ago!!  (So hard to believe)!!

At the shelters we used several things to hold them in place  mostly it was
brute force.  We used Kevlar gloves with Kevlar arm sleeves that protected
all the way past the elbow.  We tried the bag many of times but when a cat
that had to be treated multiple times saw the bag it was usually a problem
than

I adopted something when holding a cat  I saw it on animal police once where
he took the back leg and put it up higher than the body.  It kept them
calmer.  It put them in a funky situation where they were not used to it
keep them off their guard.
