Hello catfolk,
Our "little one" has given up a good part of his initial timidity. He
is using his "castle" in the cellar very seldom now and likes it more
to roam the house. For a rest there are the sleeping sofa in my room,
the big carton in the upper stairs corridor and some chairs in the
living room.
The latter had been defended a little bit by Merlin, but now Mark
walks around it quite naturally. Meanwhile both boys are fed together.
They receive their meals at the central feeding place in the living
room.
When he is eating, we can give Mark some scrithes now. This morning I
had the impression, he enjoyed it very much. Otherwise he does not
like it, when a hand is moving towards him - he is taking a safety
distance, but this distance is shorter than before.
Both cats are coming closer as well. Lately they had been sitting in
front of another and Merlin was about to touch Mark's nose with his.
Mark did not want this and slashed at Merlin (not hard), who stopped
his advances.
Mark is getting more curious about the house as a whole and he is
climbing a bit around. This morning he turned over our room-high ficus
beniaminus. I hope he got a good shock so that this will not happen
again.
When we tokk the little hissing bundle home at December 21st I would
not have thought that we would make so much progress in the time
elapsed.
At the moment both boys are alone in the house. Let's see how it looks
like when we return in the afternoon.
Sincerely, Michael

Bet he tried to climb it.<g> After all - it is a tree.
Sounds great the achievements Mark made.
All is well. Fine.

Congrats on Mark's (I have to laugh when I read this as when I was in
the first grade I had a major crush on a kid named Mark.) progress.
So, how did the house look when you got back?
Smiling Pam S.

It really sounds like it is going well. Hope he leaves the ficus alone!
