Let's see if I can post this to the right group this time :-)
This is absolute fate. My daughter lives so close to the stadium she can hear
the football game, so last night she decided to just walk down there and check
the score. She said she was walking and heard something she thought was a bird.
It turned out to be a really tiny kitten, about 4 weeks old. Its eyes were
completely gummed shut. Anyhoo, she had to go to work early, and dropped the
little thing off here, I am taking it to TED this morning.
It looks okay and acts okay except for its eyes, but it won't eat on its own.
The eye problem is bad, when we finally got its eyes opened, a tremendous
amount of pus rolled out of one of them.
She says she thinks she knows someone who will take it if it can be healed and
made healthy. I don't think it can see, but I may be wrong, it's hard to tell
because it's so little.
I can't imagine how it ended up by itself like that. I wonder if Mama Cat
carried it away from the rest of the litter, knowing there was something wrong
with it. Poor little thing.

Poor thing! We'll send our best health purrs it's way. Thank you for
taking care of it and taking it to TED.
When I caught Sammy he had a bad eye infection along with his
respiratory infection. Took a couple days at the vet's office and a
three weeks of eye meds to clear it up.

Poor baby! How scared it must have been! But its luck changed a bit for the
better when your sister found it and brought it to you. I hope the kitten's
eye can be cured, and a happy forever home can be found for it when the time

I got him to the vet, got his eyes cleaned up, he got some ointment and
antibiotic. The vet got some Hills A/d and a syringe, and he ate! He just didnt
know *how* to eat out of a bowl. So now with cleaned-up eyes and a full belly,
he is acting a *whole lot* better. Thanks all for the purrs! The vet said the
kitten is barely weaning size. She said the mother probably abandoned him. She
said he is going to be a big cat because he's much younger than I thought, he's
just big for his age. Take a look at the size of his feet:

What a beautiful little boy! He reminds me of Teti when he was a kitten.
Same colours, same patterns, I hope he has got the same temper, too. Teti is
the most patient, loving cat I've ever met, he thinks that all new people
(and cats) that enters his domain are there to become his new friends. And
nobody can resist his charm...

OMG, another giant kitten! They really are spreading all over the US;
Krista in Georgia has one, Renee in California, Catnipped in Texas, and
now Sherry in Oklahoma.
Aww, but he's so cute. I'd adopt him in a heartbeat if I was on that

He's cute all right. But it's like babysitting a real baby. I have to syringe
feed him about every 3 or 4 hours. I *can't* seem to teach him to eat out of a
bowl. I put a pie plate down with litter in it, and plopped his cute self in
the middle of it. He immediately started eating the litter. Bad idea. How come
he can eat litter but won't eat his food??!!!!
His Meowmie just called and said she was held up at work and can't pick him up
till the a.m. She says his new name is Rosco. I told her I refuse to tell
anyone my grandchildren's names are Ernie, Dexter, Orion and Roscoe.
I think it's a horrid name but due to the various rants I've read lately I've
decided to stop being such a butt-insky. That name reminds me of that
ultra-stupid character on Dukes of Hazzard.

How weird that he eats litter, but not food! Well, if he's younger
than four weeks, shucks, I guess he has plenty of time to learn.
I think that Rosco is a good name. Remember that Sheriff Roscoe used
to be a good law man, until he lost his pension. But maybe you can
suggest an alternative name, like "Grey Power". :)

ROFL!! Do you remember the kitten I had for a few days whose name was "Orange
Power?" If that's what you meant, you have a good memory! I had half forgotten
him myself. I had to google to find out when that was, it was May 2003.
I wonder how old Orange Power/Colin is doing these days. Dang, I've had a lot
of cats pass through this house. I must be a stop on the kitty underground
railroad.
