DH's sister got diagnosed with adrenal cancer today... I don't know
anything about it except that it's cancer and it sounds bad, and if
I'm freaking out I'm sure they're a lot worse off... please purr for
them and for their doctors to know what to do. :(

(anyone know anything about adrenal cancer?)

From the looks of it the cancer is rare but very treatable

Take a deep breath  when anyone hears the word cancer they tend to think the
worse  depending on which type your friend has  they have different types of
surgeries to remove it

But your friend will be in my prayers no matter what

my aunt was diagnosed a few years, maybe 4 and they removed most of her
gland, and at the same time a large cantaloupe sized tumor from her kidney,
treated successfully, bad news is another form of pancreatic tumor is now
present,  lots on line about it, Lee

Oh, Karen, I am so sorry.  I don't know anything about adrenal cancer,
so all I can do is send gentle purrs and hugs to you and your family.

I don't know anything about adrenal cancer, sorry.  Only about mine
(ovarian)  It is very scary to be diagnosed with any sort of cancer so I am
sending huge purrs and prayers for your sister-in-law.

lots of sympathy and purrs from here.  I suggest that  you go into
alt.cancer.support and ask there.  J will most likely give you lots of
web sites that will explain adrenal cancer for you.  The rest will
offer experience or sympathy.  They're a good group over all.

I did and it basically said that it's so rare that there isn't
anything... I don't understand how she could even HAVE it! Adrenal
tumours are common but they're almost always benign and they just mess
up your thyroid function - that's what Graves disease is. And they
were adamant that this is NOT that simple. DH thinks it must be liver
cancer that spread to the adrenal gland rather than the other way
round... either way, it's not good. :(

None of us know why we get cancer, Karen.  Sometimes we do get it and don't
deserve it.

Hang on in there, up to now I have beaten mine.  Unless there is a clear
diagnosis that the liver is involved do not even think about that.
Lots of purrs coming.
