Steve, just in case you would be interested in this--
The State of Oklahoma passed a bill that would allow the purchase of a
Spay/Neuter car tag. The tag will cost $35; $20 of it goes to an Overpopulation
Fund. Also passed was a check-off box on our state income tax return that you
can allocate a portion of your income tax for the Overpopulation fund. (low
cost spay for low income, funds for shelters) I think it's a really good deal.
But here's the catch--this is NOT being promoted very well, and only 58 people
so far have applied for the tag. If they don't get at least 100 applications by
Dec. 28, they will not make the die for the tag. If you know anyone who would
be interested, please tell them about this, and tell them they can download the
application at http://www.oktax.state.ok.us/oktax/mvforms/708-E.pdf
Thanks Steve

Thanks for the heads up. You're right about it not being publisized,
as this is the first I've heard of it. Just wondering, looking at the
link, is the "Animal Friendly" tag the one you're talking about? It's
the only one that mentions animals and matches the $35 you mention
that I see litsted. My tags expire next month, so maybe I'll look into
getting one then.

Yes! That's the one.
Thanks for reading.
