this morning after I got home from a hard night delivering pizza I
witnessed something I really, REALLY never expected. Since Little Bit
moved in with me going on eight years ago she has never played with
anyone except her daughter Sammy. She never more than tolerated Rocky.
Whenever Spotty tries to play the most LB will do is run into a
corner, lie down and threaten to scratch her eyes out if she comes any
closer. Well, this morning, she and Furby chased each other back and
forth from the bedroom to the living room three times - and it was
just like she was playing with Sam. At first I thought Furby was just
chasing LB, but I peeked around the corner and saw LB ambush Furby
from inside the kitty cube and then she chased her into the other
room. Unfortunately the game ended much the same way it does when she
and Sammy play. When LB and Sam chase each other it usually ends when
Spotty tries to join in. This morning it ended when Princess tried to
join in.
Maybe LB is just trying to work off those extra calories from the
kitten food she's been sneaking.
On another matter, the big girls seem to have convinced Furby that the
litter box is only made for one at a time. Furby still goes to see who
is in the box when she hears scratching, but now she sits 5 or 6 feet
away and waits for them to come out instead of sitting on top of the
covered box and trying to swipe at whoever is inside. Course she still
can sometimes turn the event into a game of chase if whoever has been
in the box has the zoomies when they come out ;-)

Piglet had to teach O. T. Mahoney that her litter box was for one at a time.
Lessons learned don't usually come without pain. Just ask O.T.

LOL. I love reading your updates on Furby and Princess and their
integration. LB really sounds like she will accept at least Furby into
the family. Maybe she will warm up to Princess, as well.

What a little brat! :)

And you know that is frequently the case.
Sounds like they're starting to get acclimated to each other...
