Louie and I both have had some creeping ick since Christmas. I caught the
nasty thing that made him pass out and will miss out on more than half my
paycheck. Louie's place is kinder to their convalescents. It seemed to switch
from a respiratory bug to a stomach bug. today is the first I've been able to
eat since New Year's Day. I'm up and about a bit but Louie's sinus bug has
turned into the migraine of pure evil. Everyone's cards are definately going
to be "have a great year" cards and for that I apologize. The kids have been
so good; Sabrina's facing her fear of the others to come and sit with us, and
they take turns doing the nightly patrols about the house so that no one is
left alone. Sabrina shows herself to be a remarkable little nurse. Where
Brandy is the Morale Officer and wants to be cute so she can make us happy,
Sabrina instinctively knows where to curl up on us and purr.

Purr with her, please? I can only stand being out of bed short times, and boy
am I tired of Louie keeping that idiot box on the caucuses all the time!

Blessed be,

Oh, I'm in rough shape, too.  I brought some charming kiddie bug north, and
it's been having its way with me.  Purrs on the way.

Although all cat games have their rules and rituals, these vary with the
individual player. The cat, of course, never breaks a rule. If it does not
follow precedent, that simply means it has created a new rule and it is up
to you to learn it quickly if you want the game to continue. - Sidney Denham

Purrs on their way- Hugh (Slave of Chloe, Tigger and Bandit) called me
this morning- we were supposed to be going out to celebrate his 50th
but he's got that Norwalk virus thingy and was calling from his toilet
as it's the only place he feels safe! (We can do it next week). Dave's
also had some sort of tummy bug as well as a lot of other people so it
seems the New Year is starting with everyone on the sick list! (I
guess that means it can only get better)
