It doesn't say much for her family, they didn't think to look in the shed.
Maybe it's a good thing she was given up for adoption.

It sure doesn't say much for those clueless dweebs! Didn't exactly
miss her in a timely way, did they? Or stop to think "Oh, I haven't
seen the cat around for three weeks, wonder where she could be?" For
the cat's sake, it IS good thing she was given up for adoption.

Yes, what a terrible situation that was - imagine being that poor
kitty trapped in the cold shed for two months!
