Wow, time flies, Happy New Year! Four has been a guest on the porch for a
month now. I looked at his wound this morning and it is considerable
smaller, great strides in that department. He is more comfortable with DH as
David has been around because of the holiday days off and has been feeding
him.
Two challenges have arisen that have to be worked around. Four has abandoned
the crate for the chaise lounge. He naps and sleeps overnight on it. That is
a great disappointment as getting him to the clinic hinged on trapping him
in the crate. I'll try luring him back into the crate with treats. The
other problem is that Dr. Mulero is working at the clinic only on Thursdays
now.
All things have to come together on a Wednesday night or Thursday morning. I
hope Bast is listening.

Charleen,
Feed him in the crate, leaving the door open. Be sure to stay close
enough to close the door, but leave it open. When he gets comfortable
with that, choose a Wednesday night or Thursday morning and close the
door while he is in the crate. Be sure to reinforce the latch, put a
towel over the crate, and haul him to TED.
It would be nice to get the vet visit over with, but as his wound is
healing, it appears that you do not have to rush.
Stay calm. You are doing fine. Everything will work out.

LAST CALL FOR DONATIONS!
I'd like to mail a final check for Dr. Mulero this week. If anybody out
there has been thinking about making a donation, now it's the time!

I would just put upside-down chairs or stools on the chaise longe to prevent
him sleeping on it (or cover it with other uncomfortable things). That
should get him back into the crate especially if it has a lovely warm
blankie in it ;-)

I will still send some money towards Four's treatment. I deliberately
didn't send cash over the holiday period as I know it can be intercepted by
dishonest temporary workers here. Then I got my broken ribs and can't get
out to send it.
He will get a little to help him when can do it, I promise.

Tweed, please don't. Take care of KFC. As it is Four's exam bill has been
covered and there is enough money left in the account to pay for the refill
of his antibiotic and get some Revolution for him. He is okay financially.
Thank you so much for the thought. The vet is delighted with the cards of
appreciation from all over the world!
