I talked with the HART (rescue org) about Bramble and his biting me
and how scared he was. The biting incident was totally my fault. I
didn't realize how frightened he was. He is a foster with intent to
own and I wanted him so badly. He bit me though and when a cat has
learned to bite when frightened, they told me he may not get over
that. Also, he has not been socialized and he may never be a human
caring cat. Bramble is being *caught* in my home this weekend and HART
is bringing over another foster. A male white/brown Turkish Van mix
that is suppose to get along with other cats and like humans too. Very
friendly. He is young. Only over a year old. He's going to the vet's
today for an overall.

They asked me if I was stuck on getting another Himalayan or Persian
and I said no. I just liked the breed. I am really looking for a
companion to Bobby and a cat that I can hold and pet. She (HART
organizer) told me she thought this new cat would be a good one and
would bring him along on Saturday.

The rescue org. lady said they would keep Brammy in a cage and handle
him throughout the day to get him used to people. He may never turn
and would be like he is forever but he needs to be evaluated more. The
rescue lady told me she thought Brammy would not be adoptable and
would be returned to his original home which scared me. Because that
lady just let him hide under her bed for 2 years and never picked him
up.

We only pick Missy up when it is necessary to take her to the vets or
for grooming purposes. She hates human beings. The saving grace is
that there are four other cats and a d*g in the house and Missy is
devoted to all of them, often curling up with Bear the Lab. She also
has her mother, Maggy May, and her brother Winnie right here and she
even gets along cordially with the parrots. Her grandmother, Maggy
May's mother, was a beautiful show Himmy with a more aggressive nature
than Missy but she could be petted occasionally. Maggy May is the
sould of loud-purring snuggliness and Missy's brother is a sweetheart,
so ?quien sabe?

Hapiness for a cat like that is a multi-cat household and
understanding humans. Perhaps she will find such a home.
