I have a "Tarot for Cats" that's a real scream. It's just the Major Arcana
starring cats, and the book is written as if a cat is coming to ask the
questions. I haven't taken it out in a while, but it's like the Emperor and
Empress affirm the Cat as true master of house and home, etc.
As for the Aries cat...so far, so Brandy. I thought Stosh was the Big Cat on
campus. turns out Brandy's the real boss, with Big Brother submissively
grooming the Bit. I await someone to wave palm fronds; never mind. That would
be me.

Hey, I have a Tarot for Cats, too. I haven't looked at it in a while, and
now I know why - I just went to get it so I could describe it to you, and
I couldn't find it. Don't know what happened to it. Someone gave it to me
as a gift - people are forever giving me cat tchotchkes, I can't imagine
why. :)
Does yours have a lot of pretty colors, lots of blues and purples? And did
it come with a little book to describe each card?

Yeah, i think we have the same tchotchkie. Mine is mixed up right with my
mythology stuff; Louie has learned that even now I still can't resist playing
cards every now and again. (Sikhs aren't supposed to do these things--yeah
right--but i throw the entertainment-purposes-only thing around quite a bit!)
There's a little book that shows each card and explains it as if a cat, not a
two-leg, is asking her fortune, and it's all heavy on the blue-purple-green
scheme. I think mine came from Barnes and Noble or Borders, but it's been a
while.

My tarot deck is "Tarot of the Cat People". I bought it for the art and the
cat-ness rather than wanting an actual deck, but I do occasionally enjoy
'playing' with it. I treat tarot as something similar to Rorschach inkblots
in that I'll find a pattern in the randomness that means something to *me*,
often giving insight into my more subconcious thoughts, but may not be what
another person will see in the same spread. My 'readings' aren't so much
based on tradtional tarot readings, and I don't use them to 'read the
future' - I don't believe in that sort of stuff (YMMV). But most of all, I
just like looking through the cards with all the lovely pictures.
