I'm back online after the local server was down for four days, yahoo!   Four
is doing quite well. He has adapted to being on the screened in porch 24/7.
He eats like a horse!!!  He gets canned food twice a day. Today I went out
with a dish of kibble for him knowing that it is not his pleasure but it is
what what is on the menu for the mid afternoon snack. I put it down, he
sniffed, he looked up at me,"You've got to be kidding," is what he said with
his eyes and cock of his head. He is eating it, but, I wonder why he doesn't
eat it more readily given that he is always wanting food.  Then I got to
thinking that he may have teeth or gum problems. That will be checked for
certain when he gets his vet exam.  I have an appointment with Dr. Mulero
early Wednesday to get the antibiotic and worming meds for Four.  I just
went out a few minutes ago to talk to him and for the first time since he's
been here he let me pet him. That is a big, good step!  Thank you so much
for all the donations and also for the cards of apprecation being sent to
Dr. Mulero. He is trying very hard to keep the cost of Four's care down but
he can only do so much.  Everyone is being so great, I appreciate it.

Thanks Lee, this is all going to turn out just fine, I'm sure.  He's worth
it.

It is Karen, I hadn't expected it so soon and am really happy about it. I
think it speaks to his basic personality which was evident three years ago
when he first showed up here.  He was very friendly and comfortable with
everybody.  He wasn't needy just nice and friendly. I'm betting he will be
that way again when the hurt and pain has gone away, when he is fully
healthy and confident that his next meal will be there for him.

I'm so glad to hear things are going so well. Continuing purrs for Four I'm
sure he knows you're helping him.

As for your server problems, if it happens again try using the free server
nntp.aioe.org I use it as a back-up and Polonca uses it all the time and it
seems quite reliable.

Charleen,
If you don't mind, I'd like to send a check directly to you to help
you out with current expenses, or you can decide to use it for the vet
bill if you prefer.  I'm not participating in the Christmas card
exchange, so do not have your address.  If you would not have a
problem with giving me your mailing address, please contact me via
private email and we can make arrangements.  It won't be a lot, but
I'd like to help.  My email address is not munged.

I have just read your posts about Four after missing them over the last week
or so. What a beautiful handsome boy he is.

Thank you for doing all this to help him. He is very lucky to have you!!

Kathryn
