Welcome Indigo and Kunks*

Due ot even *more* machinations from the mothership, the two boys arrived
today, with tonnes of accessories and food.

Kunks* is an almost pure white DSH, but with a very thick coat - perhaps a
double coat. It look he's headbutted a grey-blue crayon a long time ago, and
the mark barely shows - it would be a 'chinchilla' mark, I think. He's the
more scared of the two.

Indigo is 100% white DLH, with gorgeous blue eyes and attitude to match. He
just prounced right up to me, marked me as my human, and settled down to
look gorgeous. Indigo likes Cary (who has been *super* excited) because
Indigo, being completley deaf, can't hear the large amount of noise Cary
makes in fornt of him. Indigo has already caught two flies and I can see an
expert mouser in the making.  Kunks is still skulking behind and under
things, but I won't push him.

Fluffy has been relegated to the back yard for the duration - she's very
curious and desperatley wants in. As she's been fully cat trained by the
razor sharp calws of death that Shmogg had, I know she won't do any harm to
the boys at all, but since these two have never even seen a dog before, let
alone shared a house with one, I don't want them to attack or be traumatised
by the experience.

They're soooooooo different from Shmogg, different in colour and very
different in temeprament ( these guys are *so* mellow in comparison!).
Probably a good thing as I'd always be trying to 'find' Shmogg in them if
they were in any way similar, rather than appreciating them for the unique
individuals that they are.

Purrs and prayers that they continue to settle in. The poor previous owner,
I know exactly how she feels having to choose between barekids and furkids,
and I promised to keep her fully updated with everything. She even left a
Christmas present for them, poor lady. She didn't cry when she was here, but
I"m sure there were lots of tears when she got in the car - a spare purr or
prayer for her as well wouldn't go astray.

So, I'm enslaved again. I hope Shmogg would be proud.

With Kunks* & Indigo, and in loving memory of Shmoggleberry.
*Kunks may or may not be the permanant name, but I don't particularly like
Casper which was his name in the previous house. Indigo, on the other hand,
fits perfectly.

{{{Yowie}}} Shmogg would be very proud of you and pleased with Cary as
well. I bet you find the perfect name for Kunks. With his coloring it
I'll bet all kinds of options will present themselves soon. Purrs for
their former owner. I'm sure she's heartbroken but relieved to find
someone who would take them together and purrs to all of you for an
easy integration between kitties, hoomans, katboy and d*g.

Goodness! When Bast is ready to move, she wastes no time! Shmogg must
have an "in" with her.

"Prounced" - what a perfect word. A combo of "pranced" and "pounced",
which are already cat activities. Typos can sometimes create some
interesting results. (Or *was* it a typo?)

A match made in heaven!

That's sad - she must be heartbroken. But she couldn't have chosen a
better fate for them!

> So, I'm enslaved again. I hope Shmogg would be proud.

What do you mean? He clearly sent them to you!

I feel vaguely responsible for this. :)

Mazel tov on the new owners!!

Oh how wonderful for you all.  Kunks may not be the most glamorous name but
it came about in a cool way.  Is it Christmas already????

Purrs and prayers for a smooth integration into your family, and for the
poor woman who had to give them up.

I'm so happy for you all - except the poor former slave, of course.
Oodles of purrs on the way for her. Indigo and Kunks sound like kool
kats. :)

Wow! Congratulations! You NEED cats in your house and it sounds like you
got just what you need. The pair to keep each other sane. The deaf one
to make both of them okay in a house with Cary. And very likely new
sleeping partners. I can't wait for the new stories. I am very happy for
you. I hope that Fluffy with her 2 brain cells doesn't remember being
relegated the OUT while the cats were being introduced.

I'm probably telling you how to suck eggs here, and I know you will be
mindful of the new owners, but please be very careful with Indigo and
*DON'T* let him out unsupervised. Also, please be very careful of Cary
coming up to him when he is sleeping - if he doesn't hear Cary and is
suprised suddenly, he may well lash out and bite or scratch without
thinking. You don't want another IBK Fergus situation.

But, on the other hand, it seems that those two furry owners have
landed well and truly on their paws with their new doting slaves!
Concatulations!

Don't worry, Indigo (and Kunks*) will be an indoor only kitty, both because
of deafness and hte risk of sunburn to thier gorgeous pink nosies.

Thankfully, Indigo is very very placcid.... Kunks* has a bit more chutzpah
in that regard, but there has been no unsheathed claws yet.

I am *doubly* aware biting off mor ethan I can chew this time around... but
neither seem to be particular jumpy, nervous, unpredictable creatures - and
thats their first day in a totally strange probaly still smells of Shmogg
house.

Congratulations! Well that lady has placed these cats with a good home
and your updates will help her to feel better. I'd hate to be put in
such a situation. Purrs being sent for her and for your new furkids.

Welcome to the new masters, along with some purrs for them to quickly
get settled in.

And please pass along some purrs to the previous slave.

Yowie, I got Archer and Ozzy about 4 - 6 weeks after Bandit left for the RB.
As you say, our loved ones could never be replaced by another, but it helps
to have new life and new energy in a house that was previously filled with
sorrow.

Oh well they were going to come after Xmas but they've just turned up
early

It must have been the hardest decision to make as they both sound
lovely but at least she's arranged the very best home for them and you
will let her know how they are doing- so purrs to her for doing the
right thing by them

how wonderful for you and your family. We will purr and pray
that Kunks* gets over his shyness quickly and that Fluffy and the
boys will become good and fast friends. Shmogg will forever be
there but his memories will soon be only of the good, happy ones.
Take pics and post SOON if you can.

I am very, very happy that your house will be a real home again.

A LH white cat named Indigo. I like that. Somebody had a sense of humor!

Ever since I came to love cats, I've always wanted a white cat with blue
eyes.

I did have my wonderful Blizzard for a long full life, but someday I
want another white cat.

I hope the kitties aren't too freaked out by the dog. At least Schmogg
has taught Fluffy proper manners, and this will help a lot.

I feel very bad for these kittie's previous human :-(

But on the other hand, she couldn't have hoped for a better home for
them, and I'm sure (in time...) that will be a very great comfort to
her.

And now *Where are the pictures*?
