That reminded me so much of one of my RB kitties, "Tabs". A
polydactyl "Heinz 57" as we say in the UK (Heinz Soups used to
have a slogan on their cans, "57 varieties") - although I
suspected there was rather a lot of Maine Coone in him. He used
to love being draped around shoulders like a fur stole, whilst
purring very loudly :-)

I remember the soup slogan too, and I'm in the US. My Mom would say the same
thing about our cats we had as kids, "Heinz 57". Meaning they were not a
purbreed cat.
