An amazing thing happened this morning. I woke up to find three cats
on the bed. Actually, that's no so amazing. The amazing thing is that
it was Little Bit, Sammy, and PRINCESS. The other amazing thing is
that Little Bit and Princess were sleeping on the same side of the
bed, within a couple inches of each other. I swear it was two or three
months before Little Bit allowed Spotty on the same side of the bed.
The other amazing thing was that when Little Bit woke up and noticed
Princess, she didn't get upset. She laid there for a minute, then got
up to check out the level of the kibble bowl.
I realize this doesn't mean they're all ready to accept each other.
But, this integration has been much easier than I could have hoped for
when remembering the hard time I had getting Spotty accepted. Spotty
was a terror, what with her food aggression and trying to chase LB and
Sammy away from food and her kittens. Much of the credit has to go to
Princess, who is a much calmer cat than Spotty was. Also, Sammy and
Spot used to hiss at each through the window screen even before Spotty
came inside, so I imagine that didn't help any.

it always amazes me, some cats aren't allowed then Chester is totally
accepted as soon as he is health checked and ready to play, Lee

Is it cold where you are? That may be providing additional incentive
for the kitties to get along.

That's wonderful news, Steve. Good for Princess. And for LB. Purrs that
the integration continues as successfully.

Come winter time, even sworn enemies lie down together here. It's about
keeping warm I guess. :)

Are you kidding? That is a huge step! Great progress.

I'm REALLY happy with the progress. It's only be 2 - 2 1/2 weeks, and
I think LB has accepted Princess more now than she did with Spotty at
3 months.

Did you even dare to breathe, Steve? Whenever mine do something I find
unexpected but very positive I barely breathe for fear of breaking the
moment.

I know what you mean. Course, being pretty much blind, I didn't even
realize who was on the bed until I reached over, grabbed my glasses
and put them on, which of course woke everyone up. Little Bit didn't
even hiss when she woke to find Princess next to her. Last night Furby
tried to join LB and me on the bed, and LB hissed a couple times to
make sure Furby stayed on my other side.
This morning it was just LB and Princess on the bed, and again no
hissing. Tonight, when I go to bed the camera is going to be next to
the bed ;-)

glad someone else keeps a camera handy. I was putting one of those desks
together that say "assembly takes an hour" yeah right. Anyway at one point
A part I was working on got pretty heavy and I wondered what was wrong.
When I looked around, all three cats were sitting on it@@ Thought I was
getting weak or something.

's funny - cats usually prefer the boxes to the actual furniture.
It's really surprising how thin a large cat can be when it wants
in to a flatpack box!
