A woman on our local Freecycle was trying to re-home two very beloved
littermates because her son had become too allergic. I wasn't ready to take
them when they were advertised, but through various Mothership-like
interventions I found myself typing out a reply two weeks later along the
lines of "If you still have the cats, and can wait till after Christmas, I
can take them".

She still has the cats, and can wait till after Christmas.

So now I am the 'future' slave of two white cats, one long and one medium
hair, the one with medium hair has a black stripe.

I can feel the relief in everywhere but my sinuses already.

Welcome back to Cat Slavery! =o)  And bless you for giving these cats

Well it seems to me that Bast was just trying to be sure these two
kitties got a very, very good home, and to keep them together.

You are just a pawn in the great scheme of things.

I'm very happy for you.

A medium hair (almost all white) and a long haired white cat. Sigh...

I miss Blizzard soooo much.

Do you know how old they are, or anything else about them?

You might spend some time before you get them hunting for a good price
on lint rollers; when I had Blizzard, I went though lots of them!

I can't wait to see pictures.

Woo hoo!! That's exciting. Is Cary excited, too?

Isn't Freecycle great?

Hey, the medium-haired cat is a reverse skunk! :)

Congrats!

Cary doesn't know... yet :-)

But now I know hat whatever else we get him for Christmas will be totally
forgotten once hte cats get here :-) They're coming from a hosue with
children, too, so they'll probably find our house, with only 1 chlid,
actually kinda quiet.

Oh, they're one year old. Over the silly kitten phase and nicely house
trained.  Much better.

You do realise you've just named the cat in question "Kunks" don't you? :-)

reason... save it for later, Lee

And yet again, Shmogg has had the last bastard cat trick laugh, LOL!
He's figured that it will take 2 new owners to live up to his
escapades! ;o)

You can be sure that he is already communicating bastard cat trick
strategies!

Congratulations on the new owners to be. :o)

Like a skunk in reverse!  [Please don't tell him/her I said that!]  ;>

I'm so glad Yowie, it hurts to be without a master for too long!

YAY!!!!!!!

Smogg has undoubtedly had to send two owners because between them they
might manage as many b***ard cat tricks as he did!
I sometimes think these things are fated (Or there's an agency on the
Mothership) when my dear Isis was dying, I just ended up working as a
temp with a lady who happened to be feeding a stray cat (Where she
lived they had a mouse problem and she thought it made sense to
encourage the cat to stay around not that she really liked cats- okay?
Yeah the stray now lives in the house) who had kittens...

I alway imagine Isis prayed to the mothership "I know my time is
coming, I am ready to cross the Bridge and see my sister Fugazi again,
but what will they do without an owner?"

And being told "Don't worry- two kittens have been born who might go
in a pet shop but for the fact that your slaves will take them in"
