I will keep this card forever.  She confirmed I did the right thing
and I really appreciate receiving this card from her. She was the vet
that first examined Casey at 8 weeks old and saw him throughout his
lifetime of only 12 years.

I know she probably sends these cards out to everyone that loses a pet
at her office but it means so much to me.  A good vet is worth every
dollar we spend for the care.

What a *wonderful* note to receive. Definitely a very kind and compassionate
vet.

A lot of vets get very attached to their patients and are as equally
upset as their humans when they have to help them cross to the Bridge.

I remember when I went in to see the TED's about the fact Sir William
had to go to the Bridge, and when the news was broken to the satff
several of them were very upset and in floods of tears - especially
the vet techs who had been responsible for 90% of his care.

My TED has told me it is even worse when they have known the furry
ones from tiny babies, treated them all their lives and then had to
help them cross the bridge. He has told me several times that it is
the hardest part of his job.

I don't doubt that every word in the card your vet said was 100%
genuine. A vet who cares about their patients is worth their weight in
more than gold.

Their lives are too short.  I don't ever want to be a vet.  I said I
did as a 20 year old, but no way now.

What a wonderful note!  It made my eyes leak quite a lot.
*sniff*

When I had Scooter Dog put our of her misery, and it was for her misery, the
vet sent a card and one of the techs tied two carnations and some greenery
to my door.  Have dried those flowers and will send them with Scooter in the
spring when we scatter her aches where my husbands were scattered.  You are
right, a good one is with the bucks.
