I went to the hair salon today to get my hair styled and highlighted.
My gran paid for it as a Christmas gift as it was fairly expensive
(£80) and I don't have that kind of money "spare" for hair cuts.

Yes, my hair looks great and I love it, and the styling was loooong
over due, but all I could think of was

"That money could have been better spent on the cats for new cat
beanbags and cat litter...."

I think I'm officially a "crazy cat lady", LOL!

And to cap it all, my brother bought me a gift for Christmas....

I don't know whether to laugh or cry!!!!

That's me - minus about 4 cats!

I want one of these

Gah.....wish you'd noticed the pencil sharpener further down
the page....the BW would have saved me having to swap
keyboards...;)

Glad you love the hair styling!  I'm assuming it *didn't*
include any peering cats...:)

Laugh....there's no use in crying anyway, unless you want
a sandpapery little cat tongue licking the salt...:)

Besides, as much of a hassle as they can be, they're
worth it...:)

Want me to send you Oreo?  She'll happily rearrange your hair for
you...;)  Tripper can get in a marking contest with HRFL Tiger.
Hazard and Robbie can practice Ninja techniques.  Katie.....well...
she'll just hiss and grumble at everyone....

Purrs!

Chris and the Fairfax Fur Factory.....wondering if they make
a Crazy Cat Man....

Laughing is always so much better!

The realization that I was a "CCL" came to me recently when I started
helping a local group adopt out cats and realized how much more I liked
"talking" with all the rescue kitties than the potential adopters.

She's not anatomically correct. She should have a big smile on her face.
She looks much too serious. Being around all those cats sure would make
me happy. :)

You should definately laugh, your brother obviously knows you well. Being a
"crazy cat lady" makes you a much nicer person, who cares what your hair
looks like. :-)

I forbid my family and friends years ago to present me with cat
related stuff.<g>
I want live-cats no kitsch around the house.

Nevertheless I am now regarding myself as a "crazy cat lady" as I
often prefer
cat company to human company.

You could take the cat-figurines and glue them to a nice other
polyresin display.

Have a look at what I did:

By the way - there are a lot new photos.

Ha! Most people have heard the story, perhaps multiple times, of my
birthday party in which *everyone* (about 17 people) gave me cat
kitsch - a lapel pin with cats on it, a ceramic tile with a cat on
it, birthday cards with cats on them, etc. The best one was the person
who gave me a scratching post and catnip mouse. LOL, whose birthday
was this?? :) I was not bothered by any of it - I thought it was funny.
With each cat-related gift, I just laughed harder. I still have most
of it, and the kitties still use the scratching post all the time. (I
don't know what happened to the catnip mouse, though. This was 6 years
ago.)

LOL. My middle sister and I tend to get lots of cat-related gifts for
Yule. We don't mind - we even give each other cat-related stuff. ;)

A greeting card from my mother - for any occasion: birthday, holiday,
sympathy, anything - that did not have a cat on the cover would, I believe,
cause the time-space continuum to implode. :)

Well <g> - not everyone follows my wish of not getting cat-related
items.
So there is a certain amount of cat-stuff here.
And - I have to confess that two or three times I myself fell for a
cute,
little something and bought it just for me.

You can`t hinder it - cats just filter in.

Laugh, laugh, laugh!  Helen, just join the club and give up; you *have*
been assimilated ;-)

I bought that Crazy Cat Lady toy for myself.  Wonder what that says
about *me*?  lol!
