Nope, you're a cat person. I'm an animal person myself. When I was walking
regularly, I met several people walking their dogs. I soon learned all the
dogs' names, but not the people's.

LOL I don't know my neighbor's names. But they don't have pets or kids, so
I don't know their names, either.

Don't stress! I know every single animal that lives in my street by
both sight and name. I have a REAL tough time remembering their humans
names though!
Don't sweat it. Animal people understand!

Why would you want to know their kids' names? ;-)

So she could address them by name when telling then to get
out of her garden? Or identify them when complaining about
their behavour to their parents?

No you're not a bad person at all. Heck I'm not even sure if my
neighbours have kids!

Be grateful! (That probably means that they behave
themselves, and don't create a nuisance for their neighbors.)

nah, I'm the bad one. I 've pretty much renamed the big blue eyed
white cat that belongs to my neighbor. His "real" name is Mr Kitty,
but I started calling him Frank after Frank Sinatra's blue eyes when
he would show up here to eat with the other neighborhood cats. Now,
pretty much all the neighbors call him Frank, He spends so much time
on my patio that most of the neiggbors think he's mine. The only place
he's called Mr Kitty is when he visits his "real" home. I suppose I
should find out what Little Sis' real name. She "belongs" to the same
people. I think they spend at least as much time on my patio as they
do at home, because they don't care to spend too much time with the
two d*g things at home.

In all fairness, nobody every got in trouble talking to their neighbors
cats.
Kids have become another matter entirely.

If that's the case, then I'm a monster! I don't know any of my neighbors -
nor if they have pets! I do know that one neighbors has a friend that has a
dog.....

LOL! I'm exactly the same way. I know the cats on my street, but not
only do I not remember the names of the humans, I'm often not sure
who they live with.
There is one guy on my street, Henry. He's a nice guy who he helped
me rescue Smudge when she was stuck in another neighbor's garage 2
summers ago. (Actually, it's more like I helped him rescue her!) So
you see, even the one guy whose name I do remember is associated with
my cat. :)
