(not to worry, I was just picking up more of Persia's food) I noticed they
had one of those life-like sleeping (and breathing!) kitties on the
reception desk.  It was a cute little orange tabby curled up in a fleece
bed.  Then I saw on the shelves behind the desk a number of both sleeping
kitties and puppies.  Guess they're selling them as holiday gifts this year
:)

Where I live, I thought someone had left one of those
"sleeping" puppies on a chair in the reception area outside
the communal dining room.  Not so - when his owner came out
from eating his lunch, Cody perked up and began wagging his
tail!  Such a GOOD dog - although not allowed in the dining
room, he accompanies his person to meals regularly, and
waits quietly until he's ready to go home again.  (Although
one of the women I eat dinner with has a cat which does the
same - except that Gabby waits outside beside the swimming
pool until she emerges from the building.)
