Every evening, Caliban starts begging for his supper long before 7
o'clock, when he is fed. He starts around 5. I'm making dinner for
myself around that time, and he is right there on the counter, sticking
his nose into everything I'm cutting up etc. While a pot of beans and
chili was simmering on the stove last night, I was sitting in front of
the TV.
As usual, Caliban got up on the arm rest of my chair and started
headbutting me to attract my attention to the fact that he was
staaaarving, and couldn't we move up supper just a little bit, just this
one time? I kept telling him no and kissing him in return when he
headbutted me. He always has this very adoring look in his eyes when
this is going on.
Then something on TV caught my attention and I turned my head to watch
it. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Caliban stretch up his head again
and without turning my eyes from the TV, I lowered my face towards him.
He stretched up, headbutted me, and then nipped my lip. I squealed
'owwww!' and turned to look at him. He still had that silly, absolutely
besotted look as he gazed adoringly at me. How can you get mad at that?
He just got a bit carried away with his lovefest.

ROFL, Marina! I've gotten the tip of my nose nipped like this from Midnight
before -- and you don't know whether to be annoyed or flattered!

Haha. Pearl has done this to me, or touched my mouth with her paw. I
don't know how much clearer one can get than "FEED ME". :D

The Song "Feed Me, Seymour" just popped in my head from Little Shop of
Horrors. LOL.

Persia routinely nips my chin after tapping on my nose to wake me up. She's
never actually bit me. Just little love nips :) I love them. First time
she went for my face, though, it scared the hell out of me. (What did I
know about cats?!)

Basho does the exact same thing. You think they hold strategy sessions
with the mothership?

Yup. Exact same thing.

Heh, wouldn't surprise me. Does he also leave a mark? I later noticed I
actually have a little hole above my upper lip. :P Maybe he's trying to
tell me I need a piercing there.

Now and again, when Boyfie is feeling very brave he will come up on my lap.
Once when he had his arm round my neck - for the first time, I nuzzled him
and he nipped my lip. Gently.
First time ever, and not ever again.
We both ignored it. He sez he was carried away by love for his meowmie, I
said ouch.

He's doing it again. It's funny how he can suck in his cheeks and widen
his eyes so they fill up the remainder of his face. He's staaaarving,
you know. :)

Caliban is like a labrador retriever in a cat suit. ;)

Reading this thread makes me think the cats have developed a taste for
"human hor d'oeuvres." "I'll have bit of nose, please." "Mmm, I'll try a
left pinkie finger." "My, this ear lobe looks good."
