Furby Lives!!! ;-)

Received some great news after my first delivery tonight. When I
pulled up a couple people were wandering along the storefront saying
they thought they could hear a kitten. We broke out a couple
flashlights and a couple of my teenage coworkers climbed onto the roof
and found a kitten. It has to belong to Princess, it's a mini-Princess
look alike. (pics have been posted to the binary group) I took it
home, Princess took one sniff and was happily reunited with her baby.

The kids who went up on the roof took a good look, but didn't find any
other kittens. Of course they were using flashlights, so we're going
to conduct another search in the daylight.

Now the question is - did Princess have more than the one kitten we
always saw with her? After asking the people who told me a kitten had
been run over, neither had seen a body, just somebody from the bar
next door had told them there was a kitten run over.

So. tomorrow morning, well in 3 and a half hours, when I take Princess
back to TED for her pre-op labs, Furby will be going along for a check
up.

Looks like my three are going to have to go through another intro -
because unless they absolutely refuse to get along there will be some
new family members. Hope it doesn't take as long as it did with Spotty
came, but there really is no rush, it will take as long as it takes
;-)

OMG!!! YEAH!!!!!! How old a kitten? Oh I am so glad you found the poor baby!

TED guesstimated 4-5 weeks. I'm not really sure, she seems tiny, but
her mom is on the small side, too. BTW, TED checked her over, and
aside from dirty ears Furby is in fine shape. I just and checked the
paperwork to see what she weighed in at. It says 5 pounds, but I'm
sure that's wrong, I'd guess more like 2 or 2 1/2

Happy here for Furby and for Princess, but most of all for you.  I know how
awful you felt when you though Furby had been killed.

Wow, that's almost as miraculous as Mark's Lazarus-like kitty. (Whose
name I am forever forgetting - it begins with a 'B'. But then that doesn't
help much, since many of Mark's cats' names begin with a 'B'. :))

What a sweet and happy story.

Steve, you're just a big old softy and I love you for it.  I know that
Princess and Furby will have great lives as a part of your clowder.
How old do you think Princess and Furby are and do you have a way to
post pictures for those of us who don't get binary newsgroups?

Thanks for all you do for the kids,

Pam S. grateful for you guys with big hearts

I second that. I didn't get a single one of the pics on abpa. My ISP's
news server only shows the replies.

Guessing that Princess became pregnant the first time she came in
heat, so she's a young mama. Furby has just been weaned.

As for the pics for those without access to the binary group try here
http://s229.photobucket.com/albums/ee126/steve_touchstone/
I had a yahoo account for pictures, but when I tried to log in to
upload the images found out it had been closed - I never used it
anyway since I had a web page until last month when I ditched my dial
up ISP and when wireless. My wireless doesn't provide storage space
for web pages ;=(

Don't know if I'll keep the above account at photobucket. I just now
started this account in response to your request. Anyone have a
favorite site for sharing photos, suggestions are welcome.

AAAKK! Oh, Pribncess is just a baby herself! And Furby is her mini-me! I
couldn't give them, up either. They are so lucky to have found you,
Steve, and you are so lucky to have found them. :)

Yes, Yahoo stopped their photo service. They offer you the possibility
to move your pictures to Flickr.

I'm pretty pleased with Photobucket, once you get used to your pictures
being posted in the reverse order. I used to use Webshots, but people
were complaining about how long their pages take to load.

They're beautiful. I love both of their pretty faces and pink noses.
Princess is a little too fast-moving for your camera, though. :)

Posted four close up pics of Furby this morning. In them you can see
the difference between the two. Princess and her picky nose, while
Furby has a little brown on her face and a dark nose.

I did notice that in the second batch of Furby pics, yes. Only Princess
has the pink nose. But they're both beautiful. Furby has such a cute
little round face. I'm getting kitten fever here. I'd love to foster
a few but (1) my guys would probably not put up with it, and (2) I would
probably end up with a 4th cat. :)

Do you have a houseful of girl kitties? Or is Sammy a boy? I'm sorry
I don't remember.

PINK nose not picky ;-) Aren't spell checkers great? I might have
caught that with my old reader when I reread the message to look for
typos, but noooo, now just click a button and send it off

I'm surrounded by girls. All the cats - even both birds - are girls.

One reason I never use a spellchecker. I'm a good speller anyway, but
a sloppy typist. I'd hate to think of what a spellchecker would make of
some of my typos. I'm better off finding them myself. (I don't think
that my news program, tin, even has a spellchecker anyway.)

Oh, poor you! :)

I'll have to play around and explore a little. There's a couple or four
new Furby pics this morning.

Aww, so very cute. He (she?) looks very much like Caliban, except Cali
has a pink nose. If Cali wasn't such a babyface, I'd get kitten fever
from looking at Furby. :)
