Rahab to the Rainbow Bridge - one of our PACA kitties (TW)

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to post about one of the PACA rescue group's kitties that went
to the Rainbow Bridge today.

Her name was Rahab and I only knew her for a brief time but she was a
special girlcat.  She and her sister, Abigail, both ended up at "permanent"
fosters at my friend Jill's house. They were both beautiful brown tabby
girls and always spent time cuddled together in each other's company.  Rahab
always would follow Jill around, too.

If I understand their stories correctly, their original owner who loved
them dearly passed away and no family member took them on after she died,
maybe because they were both diabetic and older (14 years) kitties. So PACA
took them and Jill and her family gave them all their love and  took special
care with their medical needs.  They adapted to their new home well and took
everything in stride.  Sadly, Rahab also developed kidney disease and
between yesterday and today it became obvious it was time to let her go to
the Bridge.

Jill and I went to the vet with her -- we both cried a lot but she went with
dignity and hopefully a minimum of pain.  She's now with her momcat at the
Bridge.  If you can spare some purrs for her sister, Abigail, and Jill and
her family, who miss her very much, it would be appreciated.

regards,
Christine

P.S.  Jill took this sweet photo of Rahab and Abigail earlier this week --

Aww. I'm so sorry but glad she had a loving home to her end and someone
to care for her.

They're both so sweet! Purrs for Rahab and especially for Abigail who
must be missing her a lot. And for Jill, too, of course.

She was a precious baby.  Purrs for her crossing, and for her sister to get
a good home, quick.

Purrs for Rahab's gentle passage over the bridge, and purrs for Jill
and Abigail and everyone who will miss Rahab.

Of course. Many purrs duly sent and a candle lit for a safe journey,
along with our deep sympathies.
