Thanks, JH. Now I need to buy all mine :-) Just got the list today, too.
This is the first time I have not been on "receive only" due the the health
problems I have I had and I am looking forward to being able to send to
everyone on the list, at last.

I organise my cards from work, so I hope everyone will understand that I
won't be even looking at Holiday Cards till I get back there (In December)

Tease! I have always managed to get them into the post office before
Christmas. Before might mean "10 seconds before the post office closes on
Christmas Eve" but still, its always before Christmas. Its not my fault that
they take that long to fly around the world :-)

My card from Jeanne arrived too, it did give me a chuckle when I opened it.
Thanks Jeanne

If it's me and not the other Jeanne H (who is also on the card list
IIRC) that's being referred to, my mom always mails her cards the day
before US Thanksgiving so that they start arriving the day after. She
likes to be first.
I don't have to be first, but do worry about delays in international
mail (the current problems in the UK, all the horror stories about
CanadaPost my Canadian friends have told me over the years, etc).
Since I already had the cards, I mailed the international ones the
weekend after Thanksgiving. The 'merkins will just have to wait -
they're not even addressed yet!

Tweed, wasn't it you who was asked by the post office people if you
were really someone famous because of all the international mail you
suddenly began receiving one year? Have you warned them yet to expect
the annual arrival of massive amounts of mail with funny stamps on
them? >^.^<

I think it was the hospital staff that asked Tweed when she had her cancer
op.

Yes, I was asked by the postman one Christmas how come I had so many
international friends! However, it was the nurses when I was in hospital
for my ovarian ca jobbie in 05 who simply could not believe the amount of
get well cards that were arriving from all points of the globe in every
post. I think I had more than all the other patients put together x 3, which
was when they started to gather in groups and whisper about it ;-)
It amused me, when I was asked directly about it, to say "ah, but you don't
know who I am, do you?" and then refuse to say any more..
(I still have every one of those cards. They meant such a lot and really
touched me. I look at them occasionally and the same feeling comes flooding
back; that people all over the world that I have never met cared enough to
send a card, and what a fantastic group this is.)

No, it's a different postman, so I shall let him be surprised <g>
Wicked, aren't I?

ACK! I haven't even started mine yet. Well, I did take pictures of
my clowder in all their holiday finery (and they *do* have some cute
little outfits this year), but I have yet to select which photos to
use, what captions to put on them, create the cards, print the cards,
print the mailing labels, go to the post office for stamps.... geez,
I'm tired from just listing everything I still have to do!!! ;>
