Persia eats crackers.  And cornbread.

All my cats love crackers. In fact they get kind of scary-obsessive
about it. I don't know who said that cats don't eat carbs - apparently
that person had never actually known a cat.

Oh they eat them, they just shouldn't (though a small amount isn't
going to cause harm).

Stinky, too.  Stinky loves baked goods.  Dante looks to be acquiring the
taste-- he demanded a bit of pizza crust the other day.

Melisande generally vacuums up any spilled crumbs, if she
gets on my lap when I've been snacking.  However, I'm not
sure whether she likes the cracker crumbs or is just trying
to keep me looking neat!  ;-)

totally cute!  Our cat, Midnight, is a total carboholic and would eat
cereal, crackers, and bread, if we let her.

PS, now that I think about it, Stinky loves cereal, too.  His favorite is
spoon-size shredded wheat.   Great to eat AND bat all over the kitchen
floor. ;)  Stinky loves things that double as toy and food.

My work that is a cute kitten. Yes, unfortunately, a lot of cats are
carb crazy. Pearl once dug open a loaf of bread.

Cinders once tore open a loaf of bread, but apparently was disappointed by
the results.  The loaf of bread only had a single bite taken out of it.

I once had a cat who managed to open a metal breadbox with a spring-closed
pull-down lid to get an entire loaf of bread.  The bread was in a plastic
bag with a tie at the end.  He chewed holes all over the bread.  When I
found him with it, I yelled at him and threw the bread out in the trash.  A
few minutes later I heard a noise in the kitchen, and when I went to
investigate, I found him dragging the bread back in through the cat door.

Caliban is just like that. This is one reason why I had to put baby
locks on the cabinet under the sink, where the bins are. If he could get
to them, he would pull out everything even remotely edible (to his
thinking).
