I can't find your post where you gave us the URL to your website.
The subject line is "Ping Takayuki", and I see all the other posts
in that thread, but for some reason, not yours. (Although I did get
yours originally, because I saved it so I could look at the site
when I had time.) Anyway, I just looked at the pictures - OMG, they
make me homesick! Of all the things about Boston, the thing I miss
the most is the North Shore - Marblehead, Rockport, Newburyport,
Salem, Gloucester, etc. Beautiful area!

And I love the pictures of Tak, Buster, Dot and Spicey. Wow, you
got a nice reception from Spicey. You should have seen how she was
when I was there - hiss, spit, hide. :) Apparently you have a better
effect on her than I do!

Yeah, it probably dropped off my server, or I didn't set my already-read-
news counter back far enough to get her message. I had saved it in a separate
file so I could go back to it later when I had the time. So I got to see
the pictures. I just wanted to access her post again so I could easily
reply to it.

Thanks,
Joyce

Hey Joyce,
Glad you found the info you wanted. Spicey was a poser the day of that visit
indeed. We three are still laughing about our first vist with her though.
Can not figure out why she percieved me to be a threat or danger but she
sure did. She was only a couple of months new, just fluff, tiny and an
attack cat! She came after me leaving fang marks, little ones though, in my
leather running shoes, and had me trapped in the bathroom until Suz could
round her up.  Such hissing and carrying on!  We are, apparently, on better
terms now.

Tak, Dot and Buster are a wonderful family, very photogenic and I enjoyed my
visit with them also.

Where did you live when you lived in New England? I'm from Massachusetts;
Woburn then Winchester to Florida in 1989.  Where do you live now?

Yes they are. I didn't get to meet them - I was in Boston last March,
but this was before Tak adopted them, I think. Or if not, it doesn't
matter because I didn't go to his place. We met at Suz's place. Someday
I'd love to meet them, they seem like sweet kitties.

(Boringness Warning to those who don't know the Boston area well -
this answer is very specific and local.)

Mostly Boston and environs. I was born in Boston, and then grew up
in southeastern Mass (near Pawtucket, RI), then went to high school
in Canton (South Shore). As an adult I lived in Western Mass (first
I went to school there, then I was a college dropout working at a
hamburger joint.

Finally I moved back to Boston and lived in Mission Hill, which is
near all the hospitals. (Brigham & Women's, Children's, Harvard Med,
Dana Farber, Deaconess and whatever it merged with, Beth Israel.)

After I graduated college (went to UMass Boston), I got a job up
in Wilmington - not far from Woburn. So I moved to Malden (not far
from Winchester). I lived there until 1992, when I moved to Sunnyvale,
California. Now I live in Oakland (CA).

Most of my immediate family lives in Florida - Stuart and Port Orange.
But one of my sisters lived in West Palm and Boynton Beach for quite
a few years, so I've gotten to know quite a bit of coastal south FL.

Where do you live now? Still in Florida?

This was her third visit. The first time I had to act as human shield.
