What I'm thankful for

I do kinda love Thanksgiving Day. It's not a custom I grew up with, but
I've celebrated it now for about 12 years. I love that it is an
all-inclusive (non-religious) holiday, where nobody gets presents
(though there's lots of great sales tomorrow, but that's common for
american holidays). It's supposed to be just about giving thanks for
what you have.
I'm so very thankful for my wonderful family. My loving partner Tom. Our
beloved children: Xoxo, Maya, Luna, Basho, Issa, Fez and Rufous. My
amazing parents and siblings. My loving in-laws.
I'm very thankful I have a good job that allows me to provide for my
family. I'm thankful for my yoga practice, that keeps me centered and
humble (so I try...)
Last, but most certainly not least, I'm thankful for all my friends here
at rpca, all of you are so dear to me, even if I don't always reply to
your posts.

Cheers and happy Thanksgiving!!!

Victor, that was wonderful.  After the last three months, have had several
favorite relatives die, had my beloved scooter dog helped to the bridge and
to cap it off my son and his girlfriend who had lived together for over year
had the grand daddy of fights at dinner today and she will be moving out.  I
had begun to think there wasn't a lot to be thankful for.  Thank you for
your post, made me cry but it was a good cry.

Cheers back to you! I loved the spirit of your post. *All* of us need
to sit back
and put things in perspective sometimes, and be truly thankful for
what
we've got.

I've been dealt some really bad breaks in my life, especially lately, and I
tend to moan and complain and feel sorry for myself a lot.  Then this
holiday comes around and I stop and look at all the positive things in my
life...

I'm thankful for a warm home that provides us shelter (even if it is a bit
dilapidated).  I'm thankful for a husband and companion who is always there
for me (even if *he* is a bit dilapidated ;>).  I'm thankful for my children
and grandchildren who have made me so proud.  I am thankful for a house full
of fuzzy people with four legs - Demi, Jessie, Sammy, Ozzy, and Archer.
Even though I lost my Bandit this year, I am thankful for the 17 wonderful
years we had before she left us.  And, like you Victor, I am thankful to
have such wonderful friends here.

Hugs,

CatNipped

It is a family tradition for us to take turns and list that which we
are thankful for.

I'm thankful for my family, friends, owners, and the D-thing.  I'm
thankful for my life which I almost lost this year.  I'm thankful for
Rob  to still be with us.  I'm thankful for the modern conviences that
we take for granted, especially computers and the internet.  I'm
thankful for books, movies, cell phones, cable TV, and all forms of
communication.  I'm thankful for snuggles with Rob and the owners.
I'm thankful for the kids being forgiving and loving creatures.  I'm
thankful for all the life experiences that we've been through and the
lessons they have taught us.  I'm thankful and grateful for the fun
and silly parts of life.  They bring us balance.

That being said.  Qui Gun Kit, Mike's idiot cat, was caught today
sitting outside the cat door with his tail hanging into the hosue.  I
wish I'd thought to take a picture.
