The mother cat is going to be living the rest of her life as a farm cat. A
farmer has agreed to take her in after she is fixed. The kittens are going
to a foster home Thursday. I was hoping the a foster home could be found for
them.
We have decided to keep Sam (the tiger). The lady at the shelter said this
was the first time some one wanted to keep a rescued kitten.

Congratulations! Hard to believe nobody's ever wanted to keep a rescue
kitten before. I guess you have a lot of kittens around your area?

Congratulations for a job well done and on the new addition to your family.
I can't believe this is the first time someone wanted to keep a rescued
kitten.
That's pretty much how we ended up with all but two of our cats.
They all just moved in with us and stole our hearts.

I've probably missed something somewhere but isn't it possible to find a
home for the mother cat too?
Anyhow good news on the kittens all finding homes. Good job!

A farm is a home for a feral cat that shows no inclination to be
domesticated. It will get food and water and shelter. Vet care too with a
little luck.
Molly had a grand old time today. Escaped twice. Found a hole in the fence
and the neighbors pool and a pair of bluebirds etc. We simply cannot keep
her in if we have any need to go out ourselves.
THe first time she got loose I had her out on a lead with a harness and cant
figure out how she slipped it.
At least Jake our older cat seems willing to provide some supervision when
she is out so hopefully we won't loose her permanently.

Yes, you did miss a little of the story. After the lady from the shelter saw
the mother and from what we had told her it was decided that the mother
would not make a good pet. We decided that a farm would be better for her. A
farmer will take her after she is fixed on Thursday. I know she is a good
hunter and will have a good life there. You can read the story at
