There is a computer book called "Head First Design Patterns".

As usual, I check the flyleaf for copyright date, since technology info
changes so fast. I got a big surprise.

Along with credits for cover designer and all the rest, was:

OBSERVER: Oliver - with a small picture of a cat. I just had to grin.

Hugs and Purrs,

Whee!  Cats are indispensible to geeks!

"Observer" is a very important task in the creation of technical
publications. As a person who does this for a living, I have to say
that my work suffers quite a bit from the fact that, because I'm
not allowed to work at home (!!), I have no official Observers during
production. I simply don't know how to convince management of this
gross oversight!
