Persia was on her back, her back legs splayed out and her front paws tucked
to her chest. Her head was tilted to the side. Her eyes were open but only
slightly, as if she was so sleepy they were drooping. Then I noticed her
eyes were crossed. And one of her back paws twitched a few times. Then her
ear twitched a couple of times. Then one of her front paws twitched. I
knew then she was sound asleep and dreaming! But her eyes weren't closed.
It was freaky. I've never seen her sleep like that before. Kind of gave me
the heebie-jeebies, know what I mean?

Oh yeah, that happens once in awhile. Stinky has done it from time to time.
Yes, it looks disturbing. But cats do like to keep you on your toes, don't
they? ;)

My Rascal does that a lot. I wonder if they can see during that time.

lol! Wolfie does this, too. DH always gets freaked out a bit and
sternly tells him "NO sleeping with eyes open!"

Cats often sleep with their eyes open, I think - especially
if they're deeply asleep in one of those "dead thing in the
middle of the road" poses!
