Still Sinking [OT]

Bob seems to have disappeared.  After DH went down and disassembled and
drained the waterbed, he never showed up to help us move it down here.
Or called.  So I'm still sinking on the air mattress (along with Pinky,
now); DH still doesn't have his computer issues resolved and is acting
like he is going to have a nervous breakdown, and I'm about ready to
curl up into a ball and cry.

I know, I whine too much, and there are many, many worse things in the
world.

Sigh.  So I pull myself up, and head downstairs to feed 10 cats their
dinner.  This ought to be interesting . . . .

Not much we can say, but we are sending you our best mega-purrs.  We don't
think you whine at all, considering what does go on.  If there's anywhere
where you should feel you can let down your hair and vent, it's here.

ty :-)

If I ever fully let my hair down, I'm not sure anyone could stand it -- lol!

It's not any one thing; it's so many little things.  There's a reason
there's a proverb about the straw that broke the camel's back.

I am there right now -- I totalled my beloved car a couple of months
ago and still have painful lumps on my shins, I wasn't allowed to do a
lot of my favorite things over the summer because my wrist problem
came back and I'm still going to a hand therapist twice a week,
Oscar has been sick and has lymphoma, several relatives have been
through tough times recently ...

My personal straw is the change of the clocks, which means that it's
dark well before I leave work.  It makes me exhausted all the time.

Anyway, I think I understand.  It doesn't matter that there are many,
many worse things in the world; what matters is that you are feeling
overwhelmed, and that is a great reason to be gentle with yourself,
rather than beating yourself up or thinking that others will see your
problems as trivial (some will, but so what?).

{{{{{{{Monique}}}}}}}}

I'm so sorry so many things are going wrong for you right now.  It seems
like they always bunch up, doesn't it?

I know what you mean about the change in clocks.  There's something
about going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark (not that I
do it now, but I have) that seems to sap all the energy.  I know it's
the lack of light, and I know about light therapy, but it's still hard.

Hardest of all for you is worrying about Oscar, I'm sure.  Know that my
thoughts are with you, and don't forget to be gentle to yourself, too.
