The painting of the livingroom is in progress, and I had both cats shut
in my bedroom, with what I thought was all their necessities - food, water,
litterbox, scratching post, and toys. But there was one thing missing -
*me*. I've been in my office, on the computer, or doing chores in the
kitchen, or out running an errand. And Miss Roxy has not been happy about
that. She wanted to get out of the bedroom and actually meowed to be let
out! (She never does this.)

So finally, I took her out of the bedroom and brought her into the
computer room with me, and she's been curled up in my arms purring ever
since. She just wanted company!! Apparently Licky doesn't cut it.

PS - when the painter put the first bit of paint on the wall, I was
aghast. I thought it was going to be a warm, glowing golden yellow-orange
color, but instead it was BRIGHT! YELLOW!! Yikes. I would've needed
sunglasses to go in the room with that color on the wall! So I took the
gallon of paint back to the paint store and had them re-mix it to a less
garish color. It's looking much better now. Whew!

Aww, what a Meowmie's girl.

Good thing you noticed before it was all over your wall!

And now Licky is being a Meowmie's boy. He's curled up in my arms and
purring so loudly he's creaking. :) He didn't fuss for attention while
the painter was here, he was too busy being afraid because there was a
*stranger* in the house. But now that he feels safe, he can't get
enough attention - he has a whole day to make up for!

No kidding!

The second color is much better, but I'm a little mixed about this
one, too. It's definitely not as yellow, it's more orange, but I think
it might be a bit *too* orange. Kind of looks like nacho cheese in
some light. :) Then in other light it just looks like the warm, golden,
glowing color I wanted. So I can't make up my mind whether I really
like it or not. Maybe it'll just take some getting used to. Once I get
the room fully set up again, it might look a lot better.

'Creaking?' LOL! When Caliban wants to purr really hard, he starts to
grunt. My little piggy-cat.

Colour and light is tricky. Hope you and the colour will settle in soon. ;)

Yes, he creaks! Sometime I'll try to record it and then I'll put it on
my user site so you can hear it. Of course, I'll have to start by getting
a tape recorder. :)

Thanks. It's starting to grow on me.
